Does anyone else want to create an actual school where witches can live and learn?
Like Hogwarts but for actual witches? And like… teachers for different subjects like sigils and crystals and herbs, and like. Idk. It would just be amazing. SOMEONE DO THIS
Also just to add clarification:
• the teachers would be reprimanded for forcing a strict belief on students, if they ever did
• homework would be completely optional, and not several pages
• there would be lots of beautiful wilderness around the school
• there would also be a big terrarium full of exotic plants that didn’t grow naturally in the area
• a HUGE library full of books on witchcraft, but there’d also be a section for fiction and non-witchy stuff
• it would be FREE
If Bernie would have been president
Omg yes 😂
A beautiful planetarium to gaze at the stars and it’s wonders.
And island with a very close coast to the sea for all of the sea witchery adventures.
Plenty of wildlife from everywhere.
A fresh water river and stream for collecting all of the fresh water goodies.
An oversized classroom kitchen complete with everything for a kitchen witch.
Unlimited supply of jars and bottles hand blown by the artistic with department.
Candles too…Lots and lots of candles…
There should be different departments that work with specific paths and/or pantheons (for the religious witches). So that once you’re no longer a baby witch, you can start taking classes focused in your “major”.
The Divination department, the Eclectic department, the Green department, the Hellenic department, the Norse department, etc.
I’m majoring in green witchcraft with a minor in kitchen.
I think @saltwaterwitchery has an online witchcraft school. Maybe you could be of help?
I think it should be online or at least provide online classes, so…
- A digital library where we can read all kinds of books on witchcraft and scan in some of our own
- End of the year assignment where you write a spell, then we can compile all the spells into a spellbook (y’know like a yearbook but with spells)
- Textbooks that explain everything from casting a circle to modern witchcraft to more traditional witchcraft
What if we started on the textbook now? We could compile spells/tutorials made by witches online. Y’know what I’m getting into this…! Let’s try jotting down the table of contents as a plan.
TOC
Welcome to Witch Craft
A short history of witchcraft
The different kinds of Magick (Let’s be sure not to exclude the more traditional less-used forms of magick, like sex magick, etc.)
The different kinds of witches (Solitary Witch, green witch, etc.)
Witchcraft as a non-religious practice vs practicing witchcraft with religion (Maybe a finding your god/goddess thing?)
Protection Witchcraft
Why protective witchcraft is important
What is a circle, Why cast a circle
Circle casting (x, x, x)
Cleansing
Kinds of Witchcraft (just to define things, we can go into details later)
When/Why to cast spells and the kinds of spells that can be cast (Normal spells, spell jars, sigils, etc.)
Rituals
Tarot (What it is/isn’t, just a preview of the cards with some synonyms as to what they mean) Online tarot deck
Scrying (what it is and listing some ways to do it)
Runes (Futhark, not-futhark, their meanings, etc.)
Spell Casting (this section will go into the how-to of things)
Intent - Defining intent, explaining how to fill things with your intent and using it in witchcraft
Sigils - Going deeper into their definition, explaining all the ways to make them, list out all the ways they can be used, all the ways to charge them, etc.
Spell Jars - Defining correspondences, listing out where to find ingredients and focusing on the most easily found correspondences.
Just regular old spells -
Scrying - going into detail on the ways to do it,
Other forms of Divination - How to read Tarot, runes, etc. I feel like these two are kind of self-explanatory
That’s about all I can think of for a textbook but….
Other books - Correspondence Atlas (pointing out where to find corresponding items in nature), Correspondence Dictionary (Listing out every single item ever from A to Z and what it corresponds to pinecone.pub has already done this but they don’t have everything)
List of Majors/Minors - Divination, Spirit Work, Kitchen, Green (This could cover Fae as well), Electic, Elemental, Sea, Scientific, Religious (Wiccan, Pagan, Druidism, and more, could also cover Electic witchcraft)
Edit: I just thought maybe I should tag some witches in this who might be able to help? Heyy I hope you don’t mind me tagging you in this but, @spiritvexer @urbanspellcraft @orriculum @moonlightacademy @modernwitchesdaily what do you guys think of this idea and would it be okay if I included some of your tutorials, etc. in the textbook? You are some of the more knowledgeable witches I know.
Also, OP @sigil-seer maybe we could work on this together? I mean I hope you don’t mind me taking your idea super friggin seriously.
@wiccccan I am ok with it! LMK if you need me to write anything up! ;)
Can… Can I be involved? :o
I want in
