Some people only feel powerful when they are misreading you.

Real perception requires humility. It asks, what if I am wrong. It listens longer than it speaks. It leaves room for another person to exist outside the story you want to tell about them.

A lot of folks are not interested in truth. They are interested in confirmation. They want you to match the outline they already sketched in their head. When you do not, they get uncomfortable, sometimes even angry, because now they have to relate to a real human being instead of a character.

Not everyone is ready for reality. Some prefer the costume version of you.

Let them.

There is a quiet strength in this collective.

Not the loud kind that needs applause, but the grounded kind that survives disappointment, misunderstanding, and delay without losing its soul.

Some of you have been carrying more than your share.

Emotional labor.

Ancestral weight.

Other people’s projections.

Expectations you never agreed to but somehow inherited anyway.

And yet you are still here.

Still discerning.

Still choosing integrity over impulse.

Let me be clear and save you some time.

Not everyone deserves access to you.

Not everyone gets to benefit from your insight, your care, your creativity, or your presence.

If someone only shows up when they want something, that is not connection.

That is extraction.

This space exists for recalibration.

For remembering that your energy is valuable and your time is sacred.

You do not need to over explain.

You do not need to prove your worth.

You do not need to shrink your knowing to make others comfortable.

Growth will ask you to disappoint people who were attached to the old version of you.

That is not cruelty.

That is evolution.

I have been sitting with the way people talk about grief and time. Many say they wish they had more time, yet their behavior in real life shows something different. They avoid the conversations that matter. They keep distance instead of choosing clarity. They talk in circles instead of communicating with intention. They build stories that protect their pride rather than choosing truth.

What I have learned is that many only reach for reconciliation when death forces them to face what they ran from. Honesty suddenly becomes easy when the person is no longer here to hear it. Vulnerability becomes convenient when it is too late to change anything.

That pattern is not rooted in love. It is rooted in fear and avoidance. And grief has a way of revealing everything pride tried to cover.

When you start comparing yourself or chasing someone else’s lane, you disconnect from your own blessings and the spiritual access meant for you alone. That is why comparison feels heavy.
