being a sinhal shipper is always so darn funny whenever i admit i am one because my friends always tells me im reaching or im onto something but i see sinhal through their CHEMISTRY and their HISTORY and their compatible potential!!!

Lowkey I feel like Hal rarely actually pays for any of his things, no matter how cheap

he’s got like three billionaires obsessed with him (Bruce, Carol and Oliver)

they’re all rich, they can afford him spending their money a bit ✌️

Hal is a bad representation of a financial abuse survivor, I fear.

He loves being abused. He loves getting spanked while his mouth is being stuffed with 5-dollar bills and cold pizza, and invoices. Carol tells him his rent has been paid, and Hal probably can cum on the spot.

They can slap him, hit him, frame him for murder (canon), manipulate him into killing (canon), kill him (canon) and curse his name at his own funeral (canon), and he would still crawl back because really really really craves NY-style pizza or something.

Do NOT learn from his behaviour, guys! Be safe out there and do not be a bum! Do not be a bum like Hal Jordan!

Be financially dependent! Financial abuse is very real and very dangerous!

when i was a kid i decided that killing people was bad therefore war was bad therefore the military was evil. and adults would tell me it's more nuanced than that and i would understand when i grew up. well i'm a grown up now and idk i still think that killing people is bad and war is bad and the military is evil

the worst part about *show/movie* adaptations that you don’t like (be it your reasons ranging from it’s not accurate from its source/is a bastardization of the original, or that it’s just an original story borrowing the og’s ip because they couldn’t pitch their own show so they use other characters for it-) is that you can never like… escape it because there will ALWAYS be someone out there that will only watch that media and go “wait but i liked that one tho!” or “but it’s good!” or “give it a chance!” and you cant yuck their yum about it (but I will silently seethe in rage when i see said media because i’m unfortunately a biased bitch who can’t *not* hate it when my favorite characters change into something different to “appeal the masses” while they stripped down the appeal of what made them my faves in the first place)

Oh and when fans of said media are upset that fans from original source material or different medias don’t like said media get upset because “we’re not giving it a chance” like, no. “You’re being a hater!” yes.
