I'm actually always thinking about the way both Katniss and Haymitch use a version of "Peeta says" to describe something that is undisputable truth!

Katniss in Mockingjay's Epilogue: "Peeta says it will be okay. We have each other. And the book."

Haymitch in SOTR's Epilogue: "She’s not an easy person; she’s like me, Peeta always says."

Specifically they use it for things they themselves have difficulty believing. But Peeta makes them believe in those things!

im all here for the deep symbolism and meaning in katniss and peeta finding each other and choosing each other over and over again and i could talk about how narratively important their love is until the cows come home but the more times i re-read the hunger games series the more im just like. damn. she was so obsessed with him.

baby girl had one insane interaction with this boy five years ago and she never stopped thinking about it. she stared at his face so long and so intensely that she started wondering about the logistics of his eyelash length. he told the whole world on national television that they got fake married and real pregnant and she thought it was sexy. girl was crazy in love and she's so real for that.

I had this idea of going through each victor and drawing their seat/outfit after their games so the first one will be these two! Next one i'm thinking 71st hmmm

I really like how Katniss's candle light dress turned out!

Everlark at the end of THG will always break my heart.

The part where Peeta stops to pick wildflowers for Katniss (such a sweet gesture (he saw something pretty and thought Katniss should have it)). They finally speak privately and Katniss admits it was (mostly) an act, she clutches the flowers tightly.

In that moment she’s trying to hold onto to Peeta. But he’s asking questions she doesn’t know how to answer.

Afterwards, she already misses him and dreads the moment she has to let go of his hand!!

“When the war is over, if we’ve won, Peeta will be pardoned.” Dead silence. I feel Gale’s body tense. I guess I should have told him before, but I wasn’t sure how he’d respond. Not when it involved Peeta.
