Tinder Date - Talia & Charlie

The gemstone green of Talia’s hues followed the way his hands moved through the tresses of his hair, the woman registering his words as she tossed back the shot of tequila that slid across the bar into her grasp. “All of my life, actually.“ She confessed. It was true, and she felt a slight tinge of embarrassment lurch into her chest at the thought of never traveling. Talia crossed one leg over the other, turning her body in his direction. “ If I’m being honest, your tattoos – you don’t see a lot of them in Coolsville, it’s interesting. “
“ What about you? Have you always lived in Coolsville? “ The woman cursed herself, her hues locking to his as they found a place. “Of course he hasn’t, Talia. You would’ve seen him before now.“
“ Absolutely, you should see this place on a Wednesday night…“ Her voice called back, as the increasing sound of the crowd began to fill her ears.
“I suppose the interesting name means nothing to you then,” he mused, taking a sip from his drink and placing it back down on the coaster it sat on. “Yeah, I noticed that not many people sported ink. I guess that makes me unique,” he grinned. He called over the bartender again. “You want anything more to drink?” He asked her as he ordered another glass of wine. He prefered wine over beer.
“Nah, I moved here a few weeks ago,” he said as he moved in his seat to face her a little bit more. “America is a strange place,” he teased, taking a sip from his new glass. His attention was again drawn to the loud group of people, causing him to clench his jaw in irritation. “I’d prefer not to,” he replied, his gaze falling on the girl once again.
Sometime passed and Charlie got drunker. He enjoyed drinking and the effects it had on him. With each new drink, he moved closer to her, his hand eventually falling on to her knee. Not that he needed anymore confidence. It was a, if not the only, plus of being an incubus. He never had to worry about people liking him. They always did.

He kept her attention, and with ease, something that was usually impossible with most people. Especially the residents of Coolsville, most of them avoided her, except for those who pursued her. His earlier comment about her name, made her eyes twist with curiosity. “My name, you said? What’s so intriguing about that?” The brunette woman asked with a slight hint of a wry tone. “A few weeks ago? Where from? ... If you don’t mind me asking.“ The green-eyed girl let a grin encase her lips, feeling a strange drawing presence in her heart.
Strange.
Talia waved the bartender back over once more, deciding to order a bottle of wine from him. Her eyes moving to the name tag on his shirt, a sly twist in her eyes.
“When I walk, they will walk with me. When I speak about apples, they will taste their sweetness. When I feel melancholy or love, their heart will respond in kind. I thank you, spirit guides, for helping me. May you make the cord between me and Nick strong like the chains“
With a quick movement to clasp his hand; “just a little touch“ She told herself and a small chant escaped her lips, one that made the bartender to return quickly with the wine;
“We are no longer two as one. I am myself and you are yourself. Your mind is now again your own.”
Talia released his hand, placing a smile on her lips as she turned back to Charlie. the interaction seeming northing more than harmless to the ‘human’ eye. As the night went on, the more they drank and the more they laughed. it had been too long since her last laugh, and she knew it.”Still, America has a shroud of mystery -- I mean can you believe the Grand Canyon? Beautiful.“ Her last words sort of trailed off leaving a wondering thought in the air.
Tinder Date - Talia & Charlie
xmystikal:
After being told she had been taking things too seriously, and that she needed to relax a little – Gabby had downloaded Tinder to her phone; a ‘dating’ app. Within an hour, she had gotten more than a few ‘swipe rights’, including the only one she had swiped right for. With the help of a few endless nights of covering Gabby’s face in makeup, – which had finally paid off – Talia was ready for her date. The brunette entered the local bar, her eyes scanning the joint as they landed on the tattooed man at the bar.
“God, he looks even better in person.” Talia thought to herself, placing a ‘normal’ smile upon her lips, reminding herself not to be awkward tonight. She made her way across the wooden floor, taking a seat at the bar beside him. She had only been 21 for a couple of months and found herself slightly drawn to pushing the limits of her alcohol intake. The brunette put her index finger in the air, calling over the bartender to order a shot of Jose Cuervo, Tequila. “ Thank you, I’m glad I made it too. “ The orbs of her hues landing on him, a smile tugging on the edges of her lips.
He watched as she waved down the bartender, his eyes moving from her hand back to her face. He ran his fingers through his hair as he looked away and settled his eyes on his own drink. “So how long have been here? The name was what tempted me to come - what made you?” He turned back to look at her as he awaited her answer. He didn’t enjoy asking meaningless questions but rather ones that could help him get to know the person - even if it was just for a night.
The room was abruptly filled with the noise of a crowd entering, causing the young incubus to groan. “Gotta love drunk people before 10pm, right?”

Tinder Date - Talia & Charlie
@xmystikal
It was 8:50pm and Charlie was already sat at the bar counter in the local bar. The date was only scheduled for 9pm, but he figured it was better to be early than late and he hoped he could fit in a drink before she arrived. Dutch courage always helped in awkward situations like tinder dates. He had used the app a few times before. It was an easy way to hook with someone, and being an incubus that meant half the work to feed. When he saw her walk through the door, he let out a sigh of relief. She looked like her pictures. He stood up from his chair to greed her, giving her a hug before sitting down again. “I’m glad you made it,” he smiled.

BIOGRAPHY
When Talia was five she had her first experience with magic; and in the mind of a five year old, you would’ve expected the picture of innocence from her casting, but that wasn’t the case. She faintly remembers the experience as the cause of her mother’s suppressing nature of her heritage came into play. Maybe it was out of love, maybe it was out of spite – she never knew, her grandmother told her it was because “the gift“ skipped her generation. What she did remember came in dark flashes, and in the middle of the night. It happened shortly after the death of her classmate, and came in the form of a dream – or what she thought was a dream. She hovered inches off her bed as the dark of her locks clamored around the base of her neck, her eyes beaming open towards the ceiling; the image of the young girl hovering looked something similar to that out of a movie. The last thing she remembers was the skip in her heartbeat as her body hit the sheets of the bed.
Growing up, Talia and Asher were like two peas and a pod and they were inseparable; until she turned 18 and her grandmother told her the truth about her lineage – a truth she had to come to grips with. What came with it was that old saying that had been seared into her mind as “The Golden Rule“. She could never tell Asher what she was, or anyone else for that matter… no matter how much she wanted too. The secret caused distance between them, it eventually drifting the two of them apart as she dived further into her studies as a witch.
Nothing compared to the thrill of successfully completing a spell – or placing a hex on someone who wronged, or crossed her in a way that she didn’t like…but that came later. After learning the basics in her first year of being a witch, she found herself drawn to the darker side of magic, eventually focusing her efforts into the category of Necromancy. It clicked in her when her grandmother dissolved the cloud that encased her childhood memory of the death of her classmate, revealing the first time she ever touched the darkness.
Although she loved her powers, the secret of keeping them to herself was a little heavier than she’d like; which is when Gabriella came along – finally, someone she could share her powers with, someone she could help grow … like the way her grandmother did with her. Talia took the girl under her wing, teaching her everything from basic casting to the nitty gritty of Dark magic.
CHARACTER INFORMATION
- For a long time Talia grew up not knowing what she was as her mother had renounced that part of her life. If it wasn’t for her grandmother the girl might have never learned the truth about their family. - After she learned the truth her grandmother started teaching her spells and she loved it, loved the thrill that came with successfully completing a spell. - Eventually it wasn’t enough for her and she started getting curious about dark magic. - Her interest started with placing hexes on anyone who wronged her but once she mastered them she laid her interest in necromancy.
CONNECTIONS
SEBASTIAN KHALIL - Talia knows that Sebastian is a warlock and she’s been keeping tabs on him, just in case she might need his help. Plus, she knows it’s easier to convince someone to help you when you have blackmail on them.
ELEANOR HUGHES - The younger girls curiosity in her has not been unnoticed and while Eleanor knows it’s dangerous to not immediately shut down the situation she has been toying with the girl. Maybe it’s because it’s entertaining and it’s made funnier because she was witness to what happened to the girls parents.
ASHER MURDOCK - Growing up the two were thick as thieves and they thought that nothing could tear them apart. That was before Talia found out that she was a witch and that under no circumstances could she tell anyone, something that her grandmother remind her of everyday. She wanted to tell him but she never did and they drifted apart.
GABRIELA HAYWARD - Their Grandmothers were best friends back in the day and because of that their families had always been close. It helped that they both shared the same secret. Now, Talia has taken Gabriela under her wing, sharing her knowledge (mostly dark magic).
@xmystikal
From a young age Gabriela Hayward had always been outgoing, in fact she thrived off of social interaction and never much liked being alone. At any given time you could count on her to be smiling brightly as she engaged in conversation with whoever would listen; she was the type of person who made friends wherever she went. However, there were only a few select people that the young girl would actively seek out which is why it wasn’t much of a surprise that the second she spotted Talia, the girl whom she was looking for, she smiled brightly and bounded towards the older girl. “Oh my gosh there you are!” She exclaimed loudly, “You know if I didn’t know you as well as I do I’d think you were avoiding me— Which begs the question why haven’t you replied to my texts?”
@gabbyxhayward
Talia’s weekend had been more than eventful, as she had spent it slaving over the numerous amounts of magical books her grandmother gifted her with, learning and perfecting her craft. “Your texts ?“ the brunette let out a soft exhale before shaking her head, a short chuckle passed through her lips before she next spoke. “Gabby — I’ve been working on a new spell, it’s taken me all weekend to perfect. I really think you should come over and check it out…” The bandage that wrapped her arm and hand showed evidence of her truths.
