Perhaps that's how he sees me now. I can't blame him. Not every love is meant to last...
Te piden tiempo pero el tiempo es limitado.

I thought I'd know who I am by now.
The Mask Must Stay
They keep telling me
this is not my place
that someday,
I will have to leave.
So maybe it’s fair
to stop calling it mine.
It never belonged to me.
I need to let go
of these quiet, aching attachments
that feel so
unnecessary.
Because my comfort zone
stands on their shoulders,
and if I ever want to tear it down
I have to let them go.
I probably need
to stop calling them family.
Just strangers now,
strangers I owe only
respectful words,
nothing more.
As a kid,
I thought the mask
was something I had to hold.
Because that is what,
I was taught and told.
But now,
I wonder
if the mask
was the real thing all along.
Somethings just never grow old,
A smile stiched in silence,
Seeing all the violence.
A childhood of pretending,
I guess that wasn't the ending.
I took detour into feeling,
Without the mask,
I was healing.
But now it must be worn again.
It must not come off—
not anymore.
Sometimes, it’s just
better
to stay that way.
I don’t need to be understood.
I thought, I did
But not anymore.
Maybe it’s better
if they let me be.
Because the mask—
it’s all they'll ever
see.
They must never get the chance
to see through
this soul.
Not even once.
Not because
they don’t deserve to,
but because
they wouldn’t
like my nerve.
The mask.
The face.
The smile,
the grace.
You must embrace—
what keeps you safe.

If you went back in time and fixed the mistakes you have ever made in life, you would erase yourself.

"I hope we never meet again," I said, my voice barely steady to Anxiety.
Anxiety, ever present, let out a quiet laugh, the kind that sends a shiver through your bones. "One can hope for sure," it whispered, leaning in close. "But that's all you can do."

I was burning, while you came blaming me for the smell of ashes.
Somedays, I feel that I belong nowhere, to no one. I pour myself out, watering others until I'm drained. Yet, I'm just a stranger belonging only to myself.
