Absolutely not, not in most cases.
We would never subject another human being to anything we have survived.
All these purtains screaming what about the children, what? On the screen in written word? Where real children aren't actually being harmed because ao3 removes anything that actually would be csam.
Yet you sit in your ivory towers screaming just to look like you're doing the good thing. You rage at the site, at the media, at the books that bring awareness like it causes more damage. No. Not knowing, ignoring whats right in front of you, the silence around these topics leaves children alone, without hope, allows it to fester, to continue without them knowing that its wrong. Thats what causes more damaged, the silence.
That theres a 'perfect victim' that we should be acting the same, be adverse to this topic now, like there isn't other ways to react to trauma.
You don't get to choose how we heal, you don't get to tell us it's wrong or evil or that we are just as bad because you are uncomfortable with the topics.
Trauma trained/informed therapist encourage processing via art form i.e. art, media, writing etc etc
You do not get to silence us.
We have already been silenced enough.
I will absolutely die on this hill and not care.
