Thank you to everyone who commented in their tags or messaged me. Indeed, today is “Martin and Bosco Day”. I originally whimsically blazed this photo on 13 July 2022. I never expected Martin and Bosco to travel so far and make so many new friends. The experience has been such a gift for me.

You see Jacob does have actual feelings for Percy, but the version of Percy he has feelings for is so heavily idealized that it’s pretty much a different person. It’s not intentional by any means and I actually think if he knew he was doing it he’d kick himself but he sort of views him as his own personal manic pixie dream girl*. Percy on the other hand sees Jacob for exactly who he is and kind of resents him for it but craves both the protection and attention that Jacob’s able to provide him that he overlooks it anyway. Anyways they need to have shitty unsatisfying gay sex about it.
