things to remember when reading a callout post
screenshots can be forged easily in photoshop
how old is the person being called out? adults hounding a teenager over saying something dumb they’ll regret in two years… it’s not cool, folks.
there are xkit mods that let you modify someone else’s post in a reblog, but most people don’t know about it, so make sure that you view any “incriminating” posts on op’s blog
does the person who wrote the callout have any reason to lie? (for example, a personal disagreement)
what’s the context?
^^ a couple months ago i saw a post calling out someone for “fetishizing trans men,” only to check the accused person’s blog and see that he was a trans guy himself, who made a lot of positivity posts about his body type.
how old is the post?
did the accused person have a chance to apologize or address the concern before the details were exposed to thousands of strangers?
what’s the purpose of the callout post? is it just to say “this person is bad and you should hate them,” or is it to say “this person has been sending slurs and violent death threats to bloggers in [x] group, here’s some reasonable proof, please block their url for your safety”?
.
I am SCREAMING
Imagine being able to clapback this hard
THIS IS THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN
I’VE BEEN TRYING TO FIND THIS FOR SEVEN YEARS
DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW HARD IT IS TO ?????
That last fatal scream tho
THE TERROR IN HIS SCREAM OH GOSH
i’m crying
I will always reblog this on the off chance some other poor soul has been searching for it
IT’S BACK
HOYL SHIT ITS B A CK
IT’S BACK?? ON MY DASH?
re-blogging again xD
idk why i just remembered this but all throughout kindergarten and first grade i used to draw a lil snail in the corner of every paper i had to turn in because it was a happy snail so i thought it would make my teachers happy when they were grading papers because i was a pure and simple child but in 2nd grade my teacher would take off 2 points if i drew it on my homework and 5 points if i drew it on a quiz or test so i stopped but like it was so harmless it was just a lil shitty doodle of a smiling snail it wasn’t distracting me or anything from the task at hand so i’d like to say to mrs whoeverthefuck that snail was supposed to be a happy thing u bitch
This perfectly describes what is wrong with our education system

Angela Merkel just said she’ll offer Donald Trump cooperation, on the basis that he respects people’s dignity no matter the place of birth, colour of their skin, beliefs, their sex, sexuality or their political convictions.
So….I guess germany and the us just broke up?
Merkel basically said “Cut your racist and sexist bullshit and then maybe I’ll talk to you”.
She’s doing more than that. In the German original she speaks of the Würde des Menschen - The dignity of man. That’s the first line of the German constitution:
Die Würde des Menschen ist unantastbar- The dignity of man is inviolable.
She’s literally throwing the book at him and reminding him she’ll only work with him on the terms of the constitution.
I mean, I disagree with her on quite a few things, but I’m very happy with her response.
If anyone tells you protesting won’t fix anything, remember that history tells another story.
Women got the right to vote on August 18, 1920 because they made their voices heard.
Disabled protestors crawled up stairs on March 12, 1990. Americans with Disabilities Act passed in July the same year.
Martin Luther King Jr led a movement to end many injustices against African Americans. While there’s still long way to go to achieve his dream, the Civil Rights Act was enacted on July 2, 1964.
And this is only a few instances that protesting has brought about change. You cannot sit back and wait for things to just happen, you have to make people aware! Do not feel discouraged by people who forget that, as Americans, we have the right to peacefully protest and that it is energy worth spent.
People who tell others to “deal with it” or “give it up” are telling others to give up their rights and accept defeat. Not all of us are ready to do that.
I’m not gonna “give him a chance” to do anything. This is a white male who has flip flopped on his views time and time again. His complete 360 “cordial” attitude at the white house just proves that. Why should we “wait and see what happens” when there’s a chance we can do something about it NOW and when there’s a PERFECTLY QUALIFIED woman out there who lost to this bigot?
To hell with anyone telling anyone not to use their voice to defend not just their own rights but everyone elses who cannot speak for themselves for whatever reason.
Another iconic John Boyega clap back
Look at my husband doing the lords work.
AHAHA
tbt when they tried to pull that shit on John Legend too

My university ran a competition for its 50th anniversary to design a new permanent installation on campus. The winner was a bunch of statues standing in a circle facing inwards and almost holding hands. It’s placed underneath a bunch of trees in a little patch of grass off the main concourse and it is FUCKING TERRIFYING.
the idea is that you can position yourself as the 6th person and hold onto the hands of those two and its a great concept and all but honestly I’m worried that if you do a demonic voice will utter “The Circle is Complete” and then a portal to hell opens up or something
I literally did a double fucking take when I first saw it and where it was on campus because if you’re walking along the main path you can only see it from a distance so you just see these 5 grey faceless statues facing each other out of the corner of your eye and its ABSOLUTELY fucking cursed.
I love my uni.
complete the circle
It’s been an emotional week. I wanted to share this encounter I had with a very hateful man on the Pittsburgh bus because it reminds me that there are brave people in this world. Let’s all do everything we can to stand up for each other.
