have YOU ever been halfway through the goblin emperor and shouted 'WHO THE FUCK IS LANTHEVAL??!?!?' in utter despair? well despair no longer, for my decidedly mediocre canva skills and tumblr's annoying image compressing are here for YOU <3
NB: this is just meant to help comprehension while reading. don't use as replacement for excellent wiki or glossary in book. is uncomprehensive and ao3 user astardanced is not famed for the consistency of her grammar understanding
"I knew quite clearly from Ryder's incredibly irritating behaviour that he had a liking for you. As I also had... As I also have."
THE OTHER BENNET SISTER (2026)
It's the little moments, the minute changes in his expressions that really caught my eye on rewatch. Our boy has such range in such miniscule emotions. A twitch of a lip, a subtle raise of an eyebrow, the light leaving his eyes.
DĂłnal Finn as Tom Hayward - The Other Bennet Sister
All these amazing expressions and no James Moriarty to be found, legit itâs INSANE. His eyes read as so deeply kind and earnest whereas when he plays James, thereâs always an underlying dullness or obsessive tunnel vision lookâsomething brewing there under the surface. Healthily obsessed with him.
only four episodes into Young Sherlock but there's already one thing I know for certain: if there is a chair, James Moriarty will be lounging in it in the most fruity most extra way possible..
my kingdom for a pair of tortoiseshell cateye glasses that arenât too thick too thin or too pointy and donât have with gold accents or extra stuff all over them or âsassy bitsâ Iâm going to work ok not the librarian sex dungeon
okay but do you know where the librarian sex dungeon is, do you have directions to the librarian sex dungeon, i need to get there to the librarian sex dungeon
I was painting some LOTR fanart of Ăowyn and the Witch-King of Angmar for fun when my brain drifted off and my pen slipped... Yes, that's a little Mouth of Sauron being shushed by Sauron on the steps over there, and yes, the Witch-King is chilling with ThĂŠoden and Denethor now. Additional notes and the different versions of GrĂma's hair that I was considering under the cut!
Note #1: Something called to me to title this A Court of Towers and Rings although I havenât actually read ACOTAR (yet?!) nor know much beyond âromantasy,â âfaeâ and âTamlinâ (but Iâm curious to learn more, I think!? My TBR is bit of a mess tbh!) so I apologize if this is sacrilegious in some way⌠(â¸â¸> Ď <â¸â¸)
Note #2: I went through several iterations of GrĂmaâs hair. At first, I aimed for a shorter hairstyle (Version #1) but it felt too different from the movie version (although Iâm going for a blend between that, the book descriptions and my own chaotic energy for these, hence black-haired Faramir with a flower ornament!) In the end, I picked the more âslickâ option (see above). It felt more oily and 'snake-like.â However, I kind of like the curlier option too (Version #3)⌠Letâs say itâs how it ânaturallyâ looks before he works his magic...?
Note #3: The book Faramir is holding is a parody of âOf Mice and Menâ by John Steinbeck called âOf Knights and Businessmenâ that I was going to use as the title of a future issue of Court Comicals⌠but idk if Iâll ever continue that comic of mine at this point so I thought it would be fitting to use here! (You can probably tell parodying book titles is kind of a thing around here!)
Harry Potter is trending at #1 on tumblr so I thought Iâd take the opportunity to say fuck JKR, fuck transphobes, fuck her stupid books, her theme park, her endless landfill fodder merch slop, and her fucking castle on a hill. Read another book yall!! Read another book!!!!!!!
another great thing about Eowyn/Faramir is that Faramir is a) Gondorin aristocracy and b) kind of a nerd, AND c) he grew up in a high-walled city under constant threat of an adjacent Enemy, which means he has definitely read at least one, more likely multiple epic poems about the Fall of Gondolin; which means when he calls Eowyn âWhite Lady of Rohanâ, he is 100% consciously referencing Aredhel Ar-Feiniel, White Lady of the Noldor, huntress, traveller, and rebel, whose life was (too often) defined by seeking freedom and whom history wishes had not died in defense of someone she loved.
