Nadezhda looked up at the sound of a chair scraping against the ground, glaring at  the person who had settled into the seat across from her and made the noise that had disturbed the paperwork she was filling out for her boss, who was too lazy to actually do his own anything, but was paying Nadezhda a hefty amount in cash to complete the work for him. “This seat is occupied. Go somewhere else, нарушитель,” the Russian snapped, already in a bad mood from how long it was taking to complete the work. She still hadn’t even gotten halfway through, and she still had to buy groceries for the weekend.

Cora giggled in agreement. “Pumpkin is just too overdone. I’m worn out on it. It’s boring, not even in season anyway.” Cora shrugged, pursing her lips. “I’ve never been a peanut butter fan. It’s bitter and gets stuck to the roof of my mouth. Gyuck. Where is the pie source of the town? Please guide me.”
