WEIGHT LOSS TIP #3: Get a full nights sleep
Getting 7 to 9 hours of sleep a night can have a large impact on weight gain/loss.
Some benefits of a good nights sleep are a higher production of leptin (an appetite-suppressing hormone), more energy for physical activity and exercise, and greater control over healthier food choices. And did you know that your body actually burns calories while you sleep for nighttime brain activity and to repair itself? Too little or too much sleep, however, leads to
- a production of more ghrelin during the day, an appetite-enhancing hormone
- increased cortisol production, which causes the body to store fat as an energy reserve
- impared physical activity due to lack of energy
- impared willpower to avoid high fat, high calorie foods
- a need for foods that give a temporary energy high but wreak havoc on a diet, such as high calorie caffeinated drinks, simple carbohydrates (white rice, pasta, etc., which coincidentally also increase appetite), and high sugar foods
- increased cravings
- increased food portions
- higher likelihood to go on an emotional eating binge
- lower metabolism
- insulin chaos, prompting the body to store what is taken in as fat
Once you get a good night’s sleep a few times and notice just how good it actually feels the next day and it’s impact on your weight loss efforts, it becomes habit forming. It’s not only luxurious, it’s necessary, so go get that sleep, people!

Workout Wednesday - Toning!
Every Wednesday we will post a new set of exercises for you all to complete (: This week we did toning (without weights)! You can choose a combination (or follow our suggestions) for the week! Really push yourself to improve as the week goes on and give it your all :D
So for this week we suggest you do :
Beginners 10 reps or 20 seconds for each exercise
Regular: 20 reps or 30 seconds for each exercise
Advanced: 30 reps or 45 second for each exercise
We recommend repeating each workout for 3 sets! Our guided plan would be to alternate between a day of legs & butt exercises and a day of arms, back, and abs exercises.
**Choose whichever day(s) you need as a rest day(s) !
We did not provide examples of each workout because if we did this post would be way too long! Instead we have provided this site which has many workout examples and you can always google for an example! If there are questions about a certain exercise feel free to message us!
*Also, as a bonus if you have a pull up bar they provide a great workout for your back & arms so feel free to add that into your routine!

1. Bear Crawls: Begin in plank position with your shoulders stacked over your wrists. Keeping your hips low, move forward by simultaneously reaching forward with your left hand as you step forward with your right foot, and reaching with your right hand as you step forward with your left. Crawl across the room, then reverse and crawl backwards.
2. Tricep Dips: Sit on the floor with the soles of your feet on the floor and the palms of your hands on the ground behind you, fingertips facing your body. Draw your shoulder blades down as you lift your hips into tabletop position. Keeping your abs tight, bend your elbows. Pause, then press into your palms as you return to starting positions. Prop your legs up on a chair or bench to make things even more difficult.
3. Down Dog Push-Ups: Stand with your feet about shoulder-width apart, and walk your hands out in front of you a few feet, keeping your hips high. Then, bend your elbows out to the sides as you slowly lower the crown of your head toward the floor. Pause, then press into your palms as you return to starting position to complete the rep.

Don’t marry him if he can’t handle even a little blister. 3. Before you say yes, get him angry. See him scared, see him wanting, see him sick. Stress changes a person. Find out if he drinks and if he does, get him drunk - you’ll learn more about his sober thoughts. Discover his addictions. See if he puts you in front of them. You can’t change people, baby girl. If they are made one way, it doesn’t just wear off. If you hate how he acts when he’s out of it now, you’re going to hate it much worse eight years down the road. You might love him to bits but it doesn’t change that some people just don’t fit. 4. Trust your instincts. If he ever makes you feel unsafe, don’t make excuses, just get up and leave. That’s all there is to it. It’s better to be safe than sorry. 5. If he puts money before you, he’ll keep pushing you to the bottom of the pile until you become his last priority. It’s one thing if he can’t afford what you want, it’s another if he has the cash but won’t spring for a box of chicken mcnuggets. Money and love are arch enemies. 62% of divorces occur due to economic strain. Make sure keeping you is more important than his 401k. 6. How a man treats animals is a good indicator of how he treats children. If you see him raise a hand to a dog, pack your things into a little black bag. Animals at their worst are only half as annoying as a toddler on their best behaviour. Your kids will be beautiful, but they will also misbehave. Same goes for waiters and hotel maids - if he’s rude to those who are working for minimum wage, it says a lot about how he sees himself. Patience is rare and so important. If he’s not forgiving to a dog, he’s not good for your kids. 7. If he isn’t in awe of you, he doesn’t deserve you. You are my little girl and you were born perfect. If he can’t see that, it’s his loss. There is someone who thinks your flaws power his heart. Be strong. If he asks you to change, be like like rock of your birthstone, do not waver. You are wondrous just the way that you are.
