it's not because someone who was physically/ psychologically violent towards you realizes it, apologizes for it and tries to be a better person that you have to forgive them for it. you have the right to be mad, to want to cut contact with them, your feelings are legitimate.

Here’s my absolute best-seller coming back ONLY for the month of June!!
Shout out to my mom who explains my transition as "Having a daughterpillar turn into a Boyterfly". It doesn't erase the fact I was an adorable little girl, and also affirms my gender now. I love my mother.

this is the funniest fucking billboard possible. who the fuck paid for this
Reminds me of a video I saw like yesterday or something where this guy was doing those "street interviews" and he asked this girl, "If there were no men in the world, who would protect the women?" And she basically just scoffed and said "From who?" And he had no response.
And I'm like while realistically I'm aware that women are fully capable of violence, 75-90% of all violent crimes are committed by men, and upwards of 90% of identified perpetrators of sexual harassment and/or assault crimes are men. So yeah it really stands to wonder, who do we really need "protection" from?
This also applies to online harassment, with a higher volume of severe digital threats targeting women and the majority of identified perpetrators being men.
Do I inherently believe all men are evil? No. Am I still incredibly wary of men I don't know? Yeah. Because it's the unfortunate reality that I live in. I will cling to the "not all men" until I die, but I will never let that hope make me naive. Because it's *enough* men. If someone put a poisonous m&m into my bag of m&ms and shook the bag, I'm not eating the m&ms. Am I aware that it's 1 m&m? Yes. Am I taking that risk? No, why would I??
whatever kept me busy during my philosophy class i guess

This is better than my real life
