The evolution of the jack-o'-lantern. Part 2. Time to give your ordinary pumpkin a face. Carving a jack-o'-lantern masterpiece such as this takes time and precision. Make sure you wear your gloves to avoid the spill of pumpkin guts touching your bare hands
The evolution of the jack-o'-lantern. Part 1. The most important step in the jack-o'-lantern process is picking the perfect pumpkin. Grab your friends and family and head to the pumpkin patch where your pumpkin is waiting.
Have your beer and eat it too! With Oktoberfest ending tomorrow, did you know that the first Oktoberfest was held in the year 1810 in honor of the Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig's marriage to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen? Festivites lasted for about a week and the tradition still lives on. Happy Oktoberfest!
Aberdeen, WA: where traction meets the bold texture of Gloveworks.
"Everybody always wants to know 'how are you not as big as a house with all of the food that you eat?' . . . I would say, probably 40%, maybe even 50% of it I give away. There's this really friendly homeless guy . . . he hangs out at the local coffee shop . . . His name is Tom, really nice guy, I don't know his story or even where he sleeps. He's just a nice guy so I feed him. Whenever I have extras and I'm not going to freeze them, I throw them in the refrigerator and I feed Tom and his little group of other homeless guys. He really appreciates it and I love to see other people enjoying the food so I get something out of it as well." "One of my earliest influences . . . was a tattoo magazine that featured a group of tattoo artists from Tokyo called Tokyo Inkrat . . . A few years ago I realized 'Hey, they might be on Facebook.' So I sent them a message. And within a couple of days, they sent me a message back . . . it was a very personal letter that meant a lot . . . and they sent me a tattoo machine, which is not a cheap thing to do, and they sent it to me from Japan and I still use it to this day. It's a daily inspiration of where I want to be and what I want to put into my work." Bender -- Tattoo Artist at Deep Roots Tattoo in Bellevue, WA.
Last month AMMEX team members in the U.S. gave their Saturday to Seattle Works Day. Over 850 volunteers from numerous organizations in the Seattle area came together to give over 3,000 collective hours to 62 Seattle-based non-profits. AMMEX team members spent the day at the Lifelong Chicken Soup Brigade; an organization that is helping community members overcome food insecurity and other obstacles that stand between them and their best possible health. http://www.lifelong.org/
Gloving is a unique dance style that uses small microlights in the tips of gloves to allow the wearer to create hypnotizing patterns and choreographed dance moves to the sound of electronic dance music. The talented Sonny used AMMEX gloves to create this beautiful light show. (Music: Firefly by Jim Yosef)
Check out these trail shots from the talented Sonny. She partnered with AMMEX to create an amazing light show video. Stay tuned this weekend to see the full thing!

My life as an international hand model is far more glamorous and exciting than the AMMEX close-up glove photos I pose for.
DONNA: Hey guys I’m being featured on my work’s blog, you should go read about my life.
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... two AMMEX sales reps fought to provide the best glove knowledge and customer service for their clients. They each used the force differently to help distributors grow their glove sales by an average of 31%. The light side prefers peace and glove education for all, while the dark side embraces passion and the aggressive pursuit of all opportunity. They thought their methods incompatible and their competition drew them into one grand battle...
Don’t meme without gloves!
Some artists are highly under-appreciated.
