"Everybody always wants to know 'how are you not as big as a house with all of the food that you eat?' . . . I would say, probably 40%, maybe even 50% of it I give away. There's this really friendly homeless guy . . . he hangs out at the local coffee shop . . . His name is Tom, really nice guy, I don't know his story or even where he sleeps. He's just a nice guy so I feed him. Whenever I have extras and I'm not going to freeze them, I throw them in the refrigerator and I feed Tom and his little group of other homeless guys. He really appreciates it and I love to see other people enjoying the food so I get something out of it as well." Last month AMMEX team members in the U.S. gave their Saturday to Seattle Works Day. Over 850 volunteers from numerous organizations in the Seattle area came together to give over 3,000 collective hours to 62 Seattle-based non-profits.
