It’s only the end of March and so many young people have died. What’s worse, is that most of them don’t get the time of day in any sort of news source unless they provide a suicide not on here, AND are *usually* trans. How many more kids have to die before you act like a decent human being?
10 questions to never ask a transgender person by Laura Jane Grace
wait what's so wrong with locks of love? (I honestly don't know... could someone elaborate?)
Ren says:
Well, it does donate some hair…but not very much. A lot of it is either thrown away or sold. Yeah. A non-profit charity, selling what it gets to do its work. u__u
Also, while many folks think that it goes to kids with cancer, it doesn’t - they specifically don’t provide for kids with cancer, actually. Just kids with alopecia areata (an autoimmune disease where you lose your hair chronically). Which is fine and dandy, but…they don’t make it clear that they’ll reject kids with cancer, they’re very nebulous about it on their site, and I only know this because I’ve read multiple stories from kids with cancer who got rejected because “it would grow back eventually”, or if they were terminal, “they wouldn’t get enough use out of them”.
Here is an article if you are interested.
Also the recipients have to buy their wigs.

Reblog this post if you’re comfortable with transgender people using the bathroom that best matches their gender identity.
As long as they flush.
I can promise you *most* of us flush :)
This is NOT okay at all.
Here’s the number for the hospital that did it, flood it with phone calls. Reblog this and stuff, friends that have followers.

FUCK THE HATE……. PLEASE REBLOG THE SHIT OUTTA THIS
panic/anxiety attack
breath in for 4 seconds
hold your breath for 7 seconds
exhale breath for 8 seconds
repeat once or twice more.
This causes an autonomic nervous system shift from a sympathetic (fight or flight reaction) state to a parasympathetic response.
Use this for panic/anxiety attacks, exams, presentations.
Never not reblog
Tumblr got anxiety advice. Fuck yeah.
YouTube won’t let you skip the trailer for Unfriended
For those of you who don’t know (and I didn’t until I was forced to watch the trailer), “Unfriended” is a paranormal horror movie about the ghost of a girl who commits suicide after being cyberbullied. (basically.)
The trailer is framed initially with web searches of “Laura Barns” with various autocompletes, starting with “passed out video”, moving on to “bullied”, “suicide”, and finally “revenge”.
The trailer includes a non-graphic snapchat of what’s implied to be her suicide, as well as sudden screams and a jump scare.
And it’s one of the short ones, so you can’t skip it.
If you’re prone to anxiety attacks and/or are triggered by this kind of content, close the video if the ad starts with a screen googling “Laura Barns”.
Please spread this for people who could be upset by it similarly or even worse than I was.
When all of a sudden, your past gets to you. All of the bad things seem to rush your memory. And no amount of theraly would ever help because of you lack of ability to interact with another human-like creature. When you lay in bed, screaming silently because of the pain being too bad, and realizing when they called you a chicken, they were right. No matter what you do, you feel worthless, and like everything's your fault. Forget the dark sky, the darkness consuming me is a thousand times darker than the blackest black ever detected by a human eye. And then maybe, someone might understand, but they give up on you anyway...
Grade 1 Students in Grade 1 will be taught the proper names for body parts – something child-abuse investigators have long urged. They will also learn how to recognize non-verbal signals, such as facial expressions and tone of voice, to better communicate with others. Grade 2 In Grade 2, students will learn about bodily changes and development, verbal and physical violence, and the concept that “no means no.” Grades 3-4 Grade 3 students will learn about same-sex relationships, while the physical, emotional and social impacts of puberty will move from Grade 5 to Grade 4. Grades 5-6 In Grade 5, students will continue learning about puberty, including menstruation and spermatogenesis, and how these processes relate to reproduction. Students in Grade 6 will learn about masturbation and “gender expression.” They will also be educated on how to build healthy relationships and consent. Grades 7-8 In Grades 7-8, students will learn about the dangers of “sexting.” They will also discuss contraception, anal and oral sex, and ways to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections. Grades 9-10 Teaching materials on mental health, previously relegated to older grades, will be introduced in Grade 9. Grade 9 students will also explore gender identity, sexual orientation and the resources available for support. In Grade 10, students will continue to learn what factors influence sexual decision-making, including personal values, peer and family expectations, and media messages. Under the current sex education program, Grades 9 and 10 students focus on promoting healthy sexuality, preventing sexually transmitted infections, and identifying the stages of sexuality. Grades 11-12 Similarly to the existing program, students in Grades 11 and 12 will focus on how to use decision-making skills to create healthy relationships. They will also learn about reducing the stigma around mental illness, and taking proactive health measures.
Ontario Sex Education update (http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2015/02/23/what-ontarios-students-will-learn-with-the-updated-sex-education-curriculum.html)
Do you understand how fantastic this is? Sex Ed has not been changed since the time that I was born and now we’re going to be have education on gender identities, sexual orientations are going to be taught from a young age on the importance of consent and the enforcement of how “no is no”. Older students are going to be learning about mental health and how to reduce the stigma around it. This is not the training of “abstinence is key”. Take note America
(via cancelledwednesdays)
This is good. But trans issues should be introduced at an equally early age to same-sex relationships. Trans kids have a right to know themselves as early as possible, not until they’re eleven.

Please.
Three years ago I made my first YouTube video, back then I used to look at myself in the mirror and imagine what I wanted to look like. Now I just see myself.
The comparison is of photos I took just before making my first video (pre-T) and just before making my most recent video (32 months on T).
Adorable in both
Is it really cheating?
Most people feel like they can get away with "cheating" because 90% of people don't say 'I want an exclusive relationship'. This, back when everyone actually defined their relationships, meant that the relationship was closed, just for those two people. By not defining it, and just assuming it is exclusive, it leaves it open-ended to each participant's interpretation.
