actually think this is kinda more likely now we know abotut the eosd remake? bc it sounds like he's been really busy and under pressure which doesn't quite gel with just making a music cd, but if it's an album on top of work for the game (which is only coming out a month or so after comiket i think) then that makes more sense

it's actually kinda frustrating when you're really compelled by the story behind a ship but just not at all interested in the actual interpersonal dynamic which emerges from it :/ i know the latter is often a bit up to interpretation in touhou but still

the thing is that i am, in general terms, an enormous pedant, but i'm just not that interested in being a pedant about touhou lore because in my experience, people tend to forget that despite having an unbelievable wealth of material, so much in the series is still ambiguous, unclear, up for interpretation, or just downright inconsistent. and i have to sit here on tumblr and watch people claim that their interpretation of something is objectively correct and everyone else's is just stupid fanon when i, who have read just as much touhou material as they have, would very politely interpret the source material in a slightly different way. without being "wrong" about it. it's funny how literature is subjective and all meaning is largely produced by the reader.
