She literally supports acquaintancecon. That's practically friendcest.
my misogynistic as fuck male relatives have a more realistic understanding of misogyny in law enforcement than most of this website simply from having to deal with it when a woman is harmed, and that kind of sucks ass to think about
to put it simply, you cannot come on here conflating what happens online with real life. i'm remembering when people were shocked sexual assault survivors would feel negatively towards criminal defense lawyers. everyone could only see this through hypotheticals and theory, not the reality, which is that pursuing legal action in sex crimes is often so retraumatizing and humiliating it is as impactful as the actual trauma itself. this is because defense will use arguments based in shame and purity culture if it gets them ahead--and it does. my mom straight up refuses to be in a courtroom to this day after what happened with my dad. it drives me insane that no one seems to be aware of this reality. we know things like "most rapes aren't reported" and assume it's out of fear of retaliation from the rapist, but often it's because not reporting is the less traumatizing option to begin with, and the chance of conviction is low anyway.
i'm not saying people should let traumatic experiences guide their politics--this is a huge mistake to make. i'm just saying that a lot of what you identify as rhetoric in favor of incarceration, is grievances from people who did not have enough money and social power to engage with the system without being chewed up and spit out. these are people who are less likely than the average person to involve law enforcement in any scenario. they are more likely to be victimized and do nothing about it.
on the internet, people are much more bold. they're much more punitive, too. this is because of the anonymity the internet allows. i've seen people socially punished online for things that, off the internet, really mean nothing. some people were mad at me for this post because they argue it downplays the impact of themes of abuse in fiction. I hope this post helps you recognize why my concerns are first and foremost about abuse inflicted on real people in real life. romanticization of abuse in fiction will also exist as long as we live in this hellhole society. a lot of people are drawn to these themes because it is closest to their reality growing up.
anyway, I don't even know where i'm going with this anymore. just some thoughts I am often reminded of. I guess what i'm saying is I do feel I come across some perspectives that are "too online" and more reflective of someone's personal toxic friendgroup than wider society, OR more reflective of how people behave when allowed anonymity on the internet. if you do let how people act online serve as a 1:1 comparison of real life you will quickly become much more of a doomer than me because our algorithms literally feed the worst of the worst for engagement
Tumblr Code.
If I ever see any of you in public, the code is “I like your shoelaces”
that way we know we’re from tumblr without revealing anything
I’m just going to say this to strangers until i find a tumblr person

"less is more" is a lie perpetuated by big small to sell more less
dress up is one of the most important pillars of gameplay that is often ignored by game developers to disasterous results

SENSHI PROPAGANDA
BE UPON YE
I think it's time for my man to have some propaganda since we're in the final stretch! Senshi deserves at least a fair fight.
First, he can be really hot:
Look at those arms. Those luscious locks of hair. WHAT A MAN!
Plus, he can be more explicitly sexy:
Do you like panty shots? He has them!!!!
Plus he's the perfect height:
I'll let your imagination do the rest.
AND HE'S CUTE AND SILLY!!!!
He's the cutiest patootiest of a man you'll ever find.
I believe in Senshi supremacy! He will treat you right!!!!
VOTE SENSHI!!!!
I don't think 2014 sexy men should represent tumblr. We are not teens anymore, we can do better than guy in a suit number 484829374.
*hypnotizing you* You will vote Senshi or Grace in the tumblr sexyman contest, waoooooh!
gonna be honest i don’t know how many more ‘enter the 6 digit code we sent to your phone’s i got left in me
No because what the actual fuck was that decision?
You mean to tell me months—if not YEARS—of development. …and your solution was to throw the ENTIRE SIXTH LOVE INTEREST into the trash?
ARE YOU SERIOUS?
I'm not saying people shouldn't have been angry about the 731 reference. They absolutely had every right to be. Unit 731 is one of the darkest chapters in history and if that reference was made carelessly, then yes, people deserved an apology and an explanation.
But explain to me how Valko became the sacrificial lamb here.
Who exactly does this help? The people who were hurt by the reference? They still deserve accountability.
The people who were excited for Valko? Congratulations, you just told them to go fuck themselves.
The developers who spent who knows how long creating an entirely new LI? Their work gets deleted overnight.
So what was the goal here?
Because this doesn't feel like taking responsibility. It feels like corporate damage control.
Fix the story.
Rewrite the chapter.
Delete the offending reference.
Delay the release.
Fire whoever thought using 731 and 611 was acceptable if you have to.
But deleting an ENTIRE CHARACTER because of a mistake in ONE PART OF THE GAME is such an absurd overreaction that I genuinely can't wrap my head around it. I'm just so unbelievably disappointed. because Infold's response was somehow even worse than the original mistake.
We lost a character.
The developers lost their work.
The fandom lost something people had been excited about. What an absolute fucking waste.
People have really forgotten that yandere is literally a horror trope. No I don't want a "green flag yandere" I want an endless pit of dread in my stomach and also a sense of arousal that shouldn't be there
You youths have forgotten the original tomes
“Do dishes” and “take out trash” both require the use of a spell slot, vs “use phone” is a cantrip, and brother, I am a level one wizard
