FAQ:
What does "yume" mean?
"Yume" is a shortening of the word "yumeshipping/yumeshipper" derived from the Japanese word for "dream." The full word is synonymous with the term "selfshipping/selfshipper" which is the act of placing yourself (or a self-insert) into any type of relationship with a pre-existing character. These "ships" can be of any kind - platonic, familial, or romantic.
In the case of this blog, I used the term "yume" almost solely because the username yume-polls wasn't taken lol
What is an "F/O?"
F/O is an abbreviation of "fictional other" which essentially is just the term "significant other" but for fictional characters!
What is a "S/I?"
S/I is an abbreviation of "self-insert." Which, as the name should suggest, is a character of your own making that is meant to represent you!
What type of questions should be submitted?
Anything related to the act of selfshipping is accepted! There should be plenty of examples below this if you scroll down on our blog! <3
