chapter 2
its been 3 days since the break up. how are you now? horrible.
you are restless, and unhappy. everything you eat felt like a sand down your throat. tasteless and rough.
all your pictures and memories with rin in your gallery's phone is now gone. you swear to god you dont want to see him again. his number is blocked and you felt like deleting his number out of existence. god you wish you could do that.
right now you're laying on your bed while staring to the wall or sometimes the ceiling if you felt like it. your phone sit properly on the nightstand next to you, since you dont felt like playing anymore. you havent eat for hours, you didnt talk to anyone and all. your life lately is terrible.
you snapped out of your thoughts when you heard a ring of your phone that ask to be pick up. you groan, very annoyed. 'who is it..' but whatever it is you still pick it up and bring the phone to your ear. "hello?" your voice is very low and cracked. "Y/N !! HOW ARE YOU! WHERE ARE YOU ? ARE YOU OKAY?" and thats the first thing you heard from the other side, your cousin, vellina. the blonde haired girl with light pink eyes. the softest, kindest girl you knew. a faint chuckle escape your lips "hi velly.. im fine. im in my room. im very, very okay. just busy and tired and all, you know. haha.." liar. a pretty lie. and vellina knew it. "i know you're not. i heard about what happened between you and rin-" her words cut off by you "elly.. i dont want to hear that bastard's name again. and i dont have anything related with him. we're done and i never like him at all. but really, im okay." your voice nearly crack and tears almost spil again. ugh please dont. vellina sighs, "Y/N. listen. i know you're not okay. you and that guy broke up, right? he cheated, right? and he slapped you. i knew everything, Y/N. its you that we're talking about. i've knew you since forever. reading you voice cracks and your lack of responds? i knew you're not alright. please, dear. dont hurt yourself for a man that hurt you. you dont want him to win and step on you, do you? you've suffer enough and he's being an ass. great. now i need you to open the door and let me in because i'll stay with you tonight." her voice is firm. despite her softness, she's a mother figure to you. she's always had things to say- wait. open up? what does she mean? "huh..?" you asked. vellina sighs. "im at you house, my dear Y/N." her words laced with amusement. your eyes widen as you walk to the front door. it was currently 1 am what do you mean you're HERE? you unlock the door and it creaks as you open. revealing the blonde girl you love the most. "elly..?" vellina's lips curled into a soft smile "hey, Y/N".
your room is forgotten for once. you sit next to vellina who's now talking to you. and guess what? you dont even listen, actually. you just lost in thought until you heard your name and your shoulder shook gently. "Y/N! are you listening to me?" she asked. you just nod. sigh escape her lips and she look at you as her hands hold your shoulder firmly. "look, i know you're heartbroken. but that doesnt me you have to be this miserable. you dont want him to step on you again after what happened, right?". silence. suddenly, your eyes felt glossy, your face burning up, your whole body vibrates as tears spilled from your eyes and sob. "i-i dont know.. i-i love him.. but he's just.." your words cut off by continues sob and whimpers. vellina look at you with sympathy. her hands circling your back in a soothing way and the other hold your head to her shoulder as she silently comforting you. "shh..".
hours passed, you've fallen asleep on vellina's shoulder. its currently 7 am and you finally get some rest. it was peaceful until you woke up. vellina noticed your movements "you're awake. hey, rest. you need it. and when the sun's up, im taking you out." "company you to shopping and breakfast? elly its fine." she smiled "not really! we'll turn you into the prettiest girl so he'll regret leaving you!". you smiled and drifted back to sleep.
8 am.
you've woken up feeling better and ate breakfast. after changing, you and vellina make your way to the mall. choosing dresses, clothes, makeups and more. its okay. why? because vellina's using her boyfriend's black card (just bcs her bf is reo, im sorry reo's fans but i need to😞) and while you two are walking, you bumped into a guy. "off- im very sorry.." you say as you look up to the guy. your eyes widen in suprise, hatred and everything. "its you.." the guy's voice is deep and firm. the voice you hated the most. its who? its rin. out of all people, out of all times, why him and why now!? you rolled your eyes and grab your cousin's wrist. "lets go elly." but he blocked your way. and guess what? the women you saw days ago was there too. "where do you think you're going, Y/N?" rin ask. "away from a cheater." you say. rin sighs, "look. i've been trying to reach you for a while now. where have you been? you look like you havent eaten in days. did you rest? why did you block me?" his ask non-stop. you felt like slapping him in the face but luckly its public. lucky you, rin. lucky you. "why do you care? arent you suppose to care for you tiny winy girlfriend?" you look at the women who's wrap around him arm. hatred wash over you. "and its none of your business to know why or how or where i am. i had nothing to do with you." "please Y/N. im sorry. just listen to me, i know im wrong and i felt bad. i tried to tell you everything but i couldnt. im very sorry, forgive me. please, love.." DID HE JUST BEG? oh dear, only you could get him on his knees at this point. and that fact satisfy you for sure. "huh? forgive? after what happened between you and me? no. you know how much you've hurt me? how bad did you betrayed me? after all we've been through? after all the memories? you're seriously an asshole, dont you? having all women in the world wrapped around your stupid fingers and dispose them like how you used to did to me. and honestly? i've moved on. two words, fuck you. three words, see you never. i hope you live a pathetic life with this ugly ass women. such a whore you two are.." you snapped. fuck it. you really want to say that for a long time to them. the woman's face frustrated. "hey! dont talk to rin-chan like that! thats rude! rin! tell her!" she say in a high-pitched voice that makes you want to straggle her to death. "listen here, woman. i'll say what i want to say and i talk the way i wanted to. i dont care if its you or him. both of you pissed me off. you're a whore, a disappointment and i bet your father left you because of how ashamed he is to have a daughter like you." you hold vellina's wrist again and walk pass them. both of the human look your way as you walk. mai's face frustrated. "rin! why didnt you tell her that she's wrong!" she whines. rin look at her and coldly say "i couldnt." as he look at you.

it was another day for you, a bright beautiful day. sunlight casting through the covered window with a breeze of morning air. peaceful.
you woke up and your hand make their way to your nightstand for your phone, 8:00 am. wow. early enough today huh?
you unlock the phone, wallpaper of you and your boyfriend at a cafe last week. opening the message app, scrolling down until you hit a contact 'rinrin♡'. you click.

you smiled, the familiar warmth in your chest makes you calm. he might not be the best boyfriend but here he is, putting efforts. at least he try though, right?
you slip off your bed, walking to the bathroom. your room in quiet but the sound of your footsteps echoing through the small space. you sigh while grabbing your towel to clean yourself.
after changing to a better cloth, you walk out of the room and make your way to the kitchen. 'what can i have today?' you though. on the counter, we had bread and a jam. nope, in the fridge, you got, milk, eggs, some fruits, vegetables, and your leftover dessert. seriously!? ugh.. last chance, in the cupboard we have cereal box, sugar, cookies and more. "Arghhh!!" you shout. "do you- really have to ruin my morning?" well, what are you hoping for? steak? make it yourself! a sigh escaped your lips once more. grabbing the cereal box and milk in the fridge. "im going to buy groceries later.." as you poured the milk and cereal in a bowl. you walk to the living room and reach for the remote. youtube being your favourite app in weekends. watching some stupid show moments as you eat.
you put the bowl in the sink after done eating. wash it and put it back on the shelf. you make your way to your room, the creaking sound filled the room. grabbing your purse and jacket. thinking about grabbing pastries on your way back.
doors lock? check! turn the tv off? check? windows? check! satisfied. you made your way to your local grocery store. humming a tune while look around.
we arrive! you grab a basket and look for what you need. ugh.. what do i want again? oh yeah. your steps make its way to the fruit aisle, picking it. done!
now, snacks! puddings sounds good right now.. yeah. ice cream too! you thought until your eyes catch something unbelievable. wait? is that, rin? but who is she?
rin is there, holding the other woman's waist. WHAT THE!! and that women seems.. prettier than you. but you're better ofc! heh. you could see their smile. gentle one like how rin used to do to you. ughh.. who is she! she's shorter than you.. blonde hair and blue eyes. ew. looks like a child but no babes, that is NOT a child. a grown woman for sure. you hid behind a stall to spy on them. seems like they were talking but about what! suddenly, the girl kissed his cheek like you once did, your heart broken, eyes widen in shock. thats it! as you walk to them and poke rin's shoulder.
he turns to you "what-..." silence. "who the hell is she!?" your voice echoed. "rin-chan.. who is she..?" is a soft voice that made your blood boil. "his girlfriend. who, are you?" "im.. his girlfriend.. rin told me he was single.. are you faking?" she asked. rin's eyes turn into guilt, but he didnt regret it much.. yet? "y/n.. i can explain. please dont make a scene here." he said. hands trying to reach you but stop. "oh? now you're embarrassed? well, let everyone know you are a cheater! a goddamn cheater!". everyone's eyes watching the scene unfold, some took their phone out. "y/n.. please. she's just a friend-" your glaze harden, sharp. "friends my ass. she kissed you- kissed.. you didnt even pull back. not trying to say "im taken". not even trying!". rin sighs, trying to hold back his frustration, as he spoke "we just happen to meet each other. she's my childhood friend. we havent see each other in so long." huh? what? childhood friend? HAH! FUNNY ONE, RIN. "screw your childhood friend and shit! she told me that SHE, WAS YOUR GIRLFRIEND. AND SAID YOU'RE SINGLE? WHAT AM I? WHAT AM I TO YOU? A STICK? A TOY YOU COULD DISPOSE? WELL, GO ON. KISS HER." a beat "y/n.. listen.." you exhale "i said, KISS HER." "y/n. enough." " deaf? i said-" your words cut by a sore sensation on your skin. yes.. he slapped you. hard. your cheek is red and swollen. "I SAID, ENOUGH. YOU'RE EMBARRASSING ME, AND YES, WE ARE DATING. SO WHAT? I COULD DUMP YOU IF I WANT . SHE'S WAY BETTER THAN YOU." he said, rin's words felt like a knife to your broken heart. shattered, helpless. tears start to pooling in your eyes "how could you.. i-i thought.. we had something.." you mumbled out. holding your swollen cheek. realization hits rin, "wait- y/n.. im sorry.. i.." he tried to reach your cheek but you slap him away. "dont talk to me again.. i hate you.. I TRUSTED YOU.. AND NOW? thats it.. we're over.." you walk away to the checkout. rin tried to run to you but hold back by the woman "rin.. let her be. she's jealous." the woman named mai, hold him back and talk in a sarcastic way. obviously hate you from the start.
back to you, your groceries were scanned. the cashier look at you with pity, "miss? are you alright?" she ask. you nod "yeah.. saw a jerk today. thank you" you give her a smile after paying. you make your way back home with disappointed feelings. "i hate you.." the only word in your mind with each step.
