Gonna do a little pinned post here for general information!

So, Hi I'm zgrist, I'm a storyboard artist / illustrator / comic artist. I go by they/them or even she/her, but I prefer gender neutral pronouns. I'm in my 20s.

I love sci-fi/drama/adventure/horror stories. My favorite media include Cowboy Bebop, Blade Runner, Redline (2009), Devil May Cry, and Splatoon. I love tech/mechas/guns/cars (drawings them is hellish, but I enjoy it /sometimes).

Big Update

Hello rockstars!

It's been a long road. With many ups and downs, delays and reworks. You've all been great, sticking with us this far. Your patience and support means more to us than we could ever express. So it's time we paid that back! Digital Copies will be emailed soon, so keep an eye on your emails. We'll post when they're officially sent!

As for the physical books- after many revisions and delays, the books are in our hands! We will be packing and shipping ASAP, so keep an eye out for emails. We have updated all addresses that we have been contacted about, but if your address has changed please reach out by email as soon as you can!

We apologize again for so many delays. 2025 was a rough year for a lot of us. Issues with careers, intense college semesters, and losing a team member left us scrambling to keep up. Just when we thought we were in the clear, we'd realize a revision we needed to get done, or personal issues would sweep us away. Again, we cannot thank you all enough for sticking with us and waiting so patiently. You all are truly rockstars.

So what's left in the process? Once the books are packed, they will be shipped out to you. After that, we will be donating any leftover profit to our charity. We will also open a leftovers sale, so keep an eye out for it! Thank you all again, and keep rocking on!

how did you get so good at drawing action poses??? I look at your dmc fanart and I just asfgsfhkkj 💖💖💖

Honestly I feel like my poses are so stiff sometimes LOL but thank u for the message. In regards on how to get better....I'd say just a lot of life drawing and drawing from reference! I think it doesn't get as simple as that, but it is hard to master it (I don't think I'm even close to mastering it)

The recent chapter of All 4 Love was amazing! I always get so excited seeing Splatoon comics and the way others imagine the Splatoon world, there's not enough comics like yours. Quick question, i noticed that Eileen curles their tentacles when upset, do you headcanon Inklings to be able to move their tentacles like that too? I love emotive hair so bad

I really like the idea of prehensile tentacles, though I'm not quite sure how far they can go; it depends on the character. Eileen's tentacles are thin enough that drawing those kinds of movements makes perfect sense to me - however chunkier tentacles like the tentacles Inklings usually have seem to be less maneuverable in my opinion. Even in the games, inklings' tentacles always seem to kind of just bounce all over the place - their physics give off the impression that the Inklings probably don't move them consciously, either because they can't or they simply decide not to. We understand that in nature, squids use their tentacles to ensnare their prey and eat, but I guess in the world of splatoon they have arms and hands that can do that for them anyways lol. So I guess my answer for that is leaning more towards a no - or more so that their movement is a bit limited, I had drawn these panels at the end of chapter 4, where Oji's tentacles lifted up a bit, idk if I want to stick to this idea - again I just don't know how much I actually like it visually in my head.

Now for octolings, I do see their tentacles being very prehensile. The playable female octoling design has some very thin tentacles that definitely inspired Eileen's tentacle design as well..

Anyways, such a long response, but I also want to mention that the emotive tentacle hc is very inspired by @/courtesycalling. They draw a lot of fanart of agent 8 with this idea in mind, and I found it super endearing!! Here's an example:

So what’s with the blood drinking with Dante and Nero?

Honestly I think it’s something I’ve mostly seen from fanfics or the like. Im not quite sure how “canon” it is. But I understand it as for demons blood = power. Drinking the blood of another demon or human (?) will revitalize you. So yea if Nero is injured here you go boy some juice *slits my arm*
