“I know there’s not that much time left but… Can we skip forward to Halloween already?”
“I definitely agree. Halloween is probably the best holiday there is.”
Grading the papers on her desk, Logan stopped hearing footsteps in the room, “If you’re turning in your lab assignment, I hate to inform you that it is very very late,” She said, not bothering to look up from her papers.
“Uh nope. I’m just a high school student, ma’am. I was just looking for the Gym though, I’m supposed to meet a buddy there to play some basketball, but I think I’ve gotten totally lost.”
Libby sat flustered on the wall of the parking lot, looking at her car. She jumped slightly as she saw someone approach, standing up quickly. “Sorry, sorry - I will move it,” she gushed, before sighing defeatedly. “That is if I can work out how to change the tyre.”
“How’d you manage to get a flat in a parking lot? I can help you call a tow truck though if you’d like. They help change tires I think.”
“oh god, no. i was just trying to see if you wanted to hang out.. i have nothing to do and i’d love to hang out if you’re down.”
“Alright, well what do you want to do then?”
“So I’ve managed to burn my hand not once but twice already.. Once on breakfast and I still don’t know how the second one happened..”
“Maybe you should like, tape some oven mits onto your hands.”
“I need you to repeat that but a little slower this time. I’m literally running on no sleep so my brain didn’t completely process that.”
“I was just asking if you wanted to cut in front of me. I’m waiting for someone, so it might be a few minutes.”
“I promise you it’s not mine.” Harper assured the other with a warm smile, the baby gently being adjusted within her arms as hazel eyes looked up to the other. “One of my students brought her in to introduce me and she had an exam to get to so I offered to babysit.” She gave as an explanation, her fingers tickling the baby’s stomach. “Did you need my help or would you like to hold her?”
Zac shrugged his shoulders, looking at the baby. “Yeah, might be a bit weird if you brought your baby to school. I can’t believe someone would just drop her off with you though, thats strange isn’t it?”He ran a hand through hit hair, watching the woman hold the baby for a moment before nodding his head in response, “I was supposed to meet someone here for lunch, but I can’t exactly find my way to the cafeteria, could you maybe point me in the right direction?”
“You’ve met my sister right? She would kill me if I let modeling get in the way.” She smiled, “I’m glad I’m here too.”
“Yeah you do make a good point there. I have no doubt that she’d probably make you quit or whatever.” He smiled, taking a finishing drag of his cigarette. “Speaking of you being here, are we going to homecoming together? I should probably buy some clothes so we can do that whole matching thing if you want.”

Libby: That's unfortunate. Is it a bad bruise?
Zac: It could be worse. It doesn't really hurt much so I'm sure its fine. I guess its better than waking up with a mystery tatoo or something.
