i have been seeing so much nerd!ace in middle school recently and i want to add delinquent deuce who used to bully ace until ace switched schools and moved towns which overall contributed to deuce changing as well

fast forward to NRC. Ace no longer wears glasses and he's loud and mean and deuce is trying to hard to be different but he doesn't recognise ace and ace is so hurt and so done

eventually deuce recognises him after his mother points him out by saying ‘oh I'm so happy you two made up’

it kicks deuce into gear and he is attached and clinging to ace 24/7 with no breath

we see it when he wants to be on the spelldrive club afterthe catastrophe with leona

we see it in book 3 when he didn't want to fail so he went to azul for help. and again in book 4 when he came to save us

in book 5 when they where practicing for auditions and the competition

and then in book 7 when he demands riddle praise him properly

Hihi’ tiny funfact dunno if multiple people noticed including u already but Ace could totally have Alice as his name and have it make sense in a way as a character tidbit! 52 as a Roman numerals would be LII and 51 would be LI. 51 making sense if Ace was the last card missing because it’s his name. Soo yeah ALIce!

I actually did not know that lol •͈ ₃ •͈ I mostly just thought to myself that ace can be short for alice just because they share the same 3 letters! But thank you so much for bringing this to my attention!
