Legend of Zelda x Resident Evil AU concept sketches
When a major research institute in Hyrule goes dark right after sending a mysterious warning message, famed epidemiologist Dr. Zelda Bosphoramus Hyrule gets sent to investigate.
Glad your RE9 x Zelda piece got a lot of traction on Twitter recently! I listened to an Oh Hellos song today which made me think back to all the times you included songs either in fics or with some of your art. Have you listened to anything interesting recently?
Thank you! The Oh Hellos are awesome- you have great taste. Okay, buckle up:
I'm almost done with a hylink comic to "From Eden" by Hozier that I'm excited to share. Here's a preview:
When I drive, I love blasting some late 90s/early 2000s bangers like Butterfly, Like A Stone, and Rollin'.
I'm currently listening to "Troy" by Sinéad O'Connor when doing some writing (fic and original) because it completely slaps and I always love angsty classical allusions (I'm constantly fighting the urge to draw Iliad stuff when I already have too many wips).
I've also been listening to a lot of divorced dad rock lately (hell yeah) while drawing resident evil stuff. I'm actually hesitant to post RE stuff that's not memes on twit since some of the fandom is uhh different there than loz. Seriously, thank you everyone for being so nice and chill.
Shit man, this trojan war is fucked. I just saw a guy raise his hands to the sky and say “grey-eyed athena, strengthen my spear” or some similar shit, and he felled 27 men at once before being whisked away by divine mist. The narrator didn’t even mention him, that’s how common shit like this is. My ass is stuck with a bow and 2 arrows. I think I just heard “would to god my rage, my fury would drive me now to hack your flesh away and eat you raw” two groups over. I gotta get the fuck outta here.
Happy December, everyone! For those of you whom enjoy a cozy holiday fic, but you don't have time to trawl ao3 yourself for some, I have spent a handful of hours compiling a list of 39 fics that may spark some festive cheer in your soul.
Some of these fics feature Christmas explicitly; some are a generic winter event; still others are an example of Hyrulean holiday worldbuilding! Regardless of your particular preference, I hope you are able to taste the short and sweet oneshots, savor the multichaps, and revel in the delicious flavor of snowdusted pining, occasional angst, and tooth-rotting fluff!
This list was a labor of love (I wrote all of the summaries myself), and is extensive but not exhaustive! If you've written or are aware of a (non-Linked Universe) fic that belongs on this list, please reblog or comment with those linked! I'd love to add them on <3 and I plan to add to + reblog this post each year going forward!
(a special shoutout to @zeldaelmo for writing literally a third of these. Zelmo, you are a gift to the holiday romcom zelink community!)
