How did you achieve that sick visual style of noodles? What shaders and materials did you use?
Thanx!No special shaders tho; I think most of it is just Unity's default. I'd say the visual style is built more from particular shapes/design and use of color, rather than materials/shaders. Hope this helps a bit?
Sadly I couldn’t make it to A.maze Berlin this year (after 3 years of visiting and finally having a game nominated, go figure) but my buddy Richard Boeser (Ibb & Obb, Chalo Chalo) was up for being my Berlin PA and helped with setting things up and snapping these impressions. So, thanx A.maze for putting Noodles in the spotlight and to all the people who gave it a try: I hope it made you hungry for more :)

Noodles gets an update!
It’s been a swift (and rather chilly) 4 weeks since I finally pressed that publish button for Noodles and I’m quite amazed with the responses it’s gotten. I never would’ve thought people would put it on their let’s plays! The new build has a much more solid save system, so continuing your progress should go smoothly now. I wouldn’t recommend loading your old game tho as that might lead to new conflicts, sorry. Some of the puzzles received new/more clear hints (I noticed in the previous version some players weren’t sure if they bumped into a bug), but of course I’m still not explaining *too* much ;) Loading scenes should also go a lot quicker now, and there’s a bunch of code that I re-wrote to make the game more consistent and stable.

After lots of tiny and not so tiny code rewrites, I think I’m finally happy enough with this version of Noodles to share it with you guys.
It’s been a long and fun process –well, mostly fun, although sometimes deeply frustrating– that started out as a little playground for learning the basics of C# and Unity and as a way to translate my game-inspired work to make it back into a game. I hope you guys like it!
