I just want to know why my (admittedly wimpy) computer can run Outer Wilds, a game that generates an entire solar system for you to fly through in a spaceship, but cannot run Panelka, a game where you design a nostalgic post-soviet apartment for yourself. That is factoring in reduced video quality settings for both, btw

I think over the years I’ve realized that assuming people you don’t understand are stupid by default is just like a mental shortcut to avoid having to think about why people act the way that they do.
I’ve kind of gotten tired of people doing that I guess. I used to do it, so I get it, but I’ve also figured out that you can learn a lot if you don’t assume by default that people are stupid. Almost everyone is fairly intelligent in some form or another, actually.
Additionally, assuming a person is stupid often gives them *too much* credit. Racism, transphobia, etc. are often expressed out of malice, not ignorance. You can't always fix someone by rationally and good-heartedly explaining facts!

It makes it very clear what you're saying. I can call a man with a gun to threaten or hurt someone mildly inconveniencing me. You're not calling the cops, you're calling A MAN WITH A GUN into a situation that does not warrant a firearm handled by a volatile lunatic who will not be held accountable for his actions.
