thinking about a feast being held in varka’s honour when he returns to mondstadt and a naive kaeya immediately trying to outdrink him, not only bc he’s a cocky little bastard but he’s so desperate to impress his superior and earn his praise
kaeya completely overdoing it and ending up so unbelievably whimpering and wasted that varka takes pity and pulls him onto his lap, soothing his churning tummy while continuing to drink and talk amongst the others :3
just the thought of varka being so experienced with it himself that he knows exactly how to loosen kaeya’s corset, let out his belt, apply pressure to all right places to bring the carbonation up in lil burps and hiccups without triggering any sickness <33 feeding him carb heavy foods with promises it will help the nausea and ease the inevitable hangover the next day, both proud and amused by the arrogant, overeager knight as he gives him gentle belly rubs

Any eggs that Zhongli develops will be sorta jagged and hard, they're basically concentrations of geo energy. Visually/Physically, they're roughly spherical or ovular like regular eggs though - just, rocky instead of the typical smooth.
Typically he ends up in a half-dragon form while carrying, as it is more comfortable than his seemingly-human appearance but also more space-efficient than his full dragon body. Patches of scales appearing on the half-dragon form is a thing that happens specifically when carrying - his body's trying to make itself harder, to better protect both itself and the developing eggs within.
^ (Also I HC that, post-retirement, he can't easily go back to the fully dragon appearance anymore - consequence of his choice to live the rest of his days out amongst his people)
Increased appetite -> healthy wg for internal/external padding reasons. The adepti happily feed (literally) into this. Result of this is that he's more languorous and generally spends most of his time laying around, if not eating or sleeping.
^ Often craves and/or gnaws on cor lapis, to supplement the extra Geo energy needed. Cor lapis is literally referred to as a "crystal of condensed pure Geo element". No way in hell he hasn't eaten it at least once before.
Increased appetite ALSO -> stuffing himself every couple of days, to be able to maintain both himself and the eggs. Thinking that the little things probably consume so much energy while developing that the hunger pangs from not eating for long enough would be horrendous to feel.
He wouldn't mention it at first, even amongst his most trusted, but he adores having his belly rubbed when he's heavy with eggs. It helps sooth the slight discomfort present from both the weight and shape of the eggs, plus warmth.
