I get so many requests for drawing process videos, so here’s one! it’s a timelapse of about 30 minutes illustration (pencil sketch + ink drawing).

I don’t do these often because the video hassle makes it so much harder for me to focus – I find myself uneasy and less creative when my process is being watched or recorded. I’m hoping it’ll get easier if I do it more often, although I’m not sure yet if I’ll have the time and energy to invest. we’ll see.

Tired Warrior

My wonderful grandmother passed away earlier this summer; I wanted to make a painting in her honor. It isn’t meant to look like her so much as invoke the peaceful feeling of her. Her favorite birds were cardinals and her favorite flowers were irises, so I included both. <3
