もし自分を大切にしていないのだとしたら、「自分で自分にこんな悲しい思いをさせているんだ」と気づいたとき、ハッとしたのを覚えています。 と同時に、私は「自分のことを大切にしていないんだ」と気づきました。

その頃の私は、なにもかもがうまくいかず、生きづらく、満たされていなかったからです。

そして、「今日から、自分のことを大切にしよう」と決めたのです。 もう、自分を適当に扱うのはやめよう、と。

自分を大切にしながら日々を過ごしている私が断言できること、それは、自分を大切にすると自分のことがたまらなく愛おしくなるということです。自分のことが好きになり、自分を信じられるようになります。 自分のことを信じてあげると、ちゃんと自分も応えてくれます。

だから自ずと、結果もついてくるようになります。

自分を大切にすることで手に入る「自信」は、条件つきの自信ではありません。

「私なんだから、大丈夫」という自信の根っこが育ち、「なにがあっても大丈夫だろう」という漠然とした自信が手に入ります。
