The Black Pirates did not arrive in Verdemar by chance. It is said, in whispers carried by the salty wind, that they were guided by ancient omens, sea-borne dreams and maps that revealed the way only under the light of the black moon. Originating from distant waters and battles long forgotten by time, this pirate family carried with them not only gold and scars, but a profound spiritual legacy, woven from magic, blood and tide.

When they docked in Verdemar, they sensed that this verdant harbour, wrapped in mist and mystery, vibrated at the same frequency as their souls. Rather than abandoning piracy, they transformed it. They became navigators of two worlds, the physical and the spiritual. By day, they integrated into local life as fishermen, traders and artisans. By night, by the glow of black candles and discreet bonfires, they kept alive the ancient rituals, the pacts with the sea and the mystical practices inherited from their ancestors.

Burning passion runs through the veins of the Black Pirates like strong rum, intense, untamed and dangerous. They love deeply, live fiercely and fight with unbreakable honour. Every member of the family is born marked by this inner fire, a flame that can either heal or destroy, depending on who wields it.

Among them, there have always been the wise healers, figures both respected and feared. Women, and at times men, who mastered the knowledge of herbs, tides, lunar cycles and ancient spirits. They healed battle wounds, broke curses, read omens in bones and protected the family with symbols carved into skin and the wood of their ships. It is said that some could hear the sea speak, and that Verdemar recognised them as guardians long before it accepted the Black Pirates as residents.

Even after generations on land, the family never lost its natural way of life. They live close to nature, honour the cycles of life and death, and reject luxuries that might distance them from their essence. The homes of the Black Pirates appear simple from the outside, yet are filled with symbols, talismans, ancient maps and relics of the sea.

Nowadays, the Black Pirates no longer raise black flags on their masts, but the pirate spirit lives on in every choice, every ritual and every guarded secret. Verdemar may have welcomed them, but the sea has never ceased to call them back. And some say that when the moon stands high and the wind shifts direction, ancient songs can still be heard along the coast, reminding all that this family belongs not only to the land, but to everything that is wild, mystical and eternal.
