Hello! This is the main blog of the professional shitposter Agate (formerly JA). I'm NOT copying @onyx-i-think's naming scheme and I have NO idea what you're talking about.

As you could probably tell, I'm a silly person on the internet. Also a huge nerd, which is a title I wear with pride.

I have a weird-ass gender that you can easily find here, but the gist of it is that I use he/she pronouns (at least on the internet) and I have no clue what the fuck is going on with my sexuality. Note that I AM a minor when interacting with me.

No, no no… you identify bone from rock or other substances by touching it to your tongue. If it sticks, it’s bone. The taste itself has nothing to do with it. And most archaeologists won’t lick human bones if they know they’re human.

And for the love of god do not make bots of people's OCs. I've yet to hear about that happening in our community (unfortunately seen it in a few others though) but better to get the word out before that happens.

Hey, I’m not very active on here due to school, but I wanted to spread this message!

If you don’t know, or simply just need a reminder:

AI is hurting people, and AI will hurt you too.

I don’t like to be as blunt as that, but it’s necessary. There are people, including myself, who are being affected by the water usage and toxins AI data centers spread. My water pressure has gone up a dangerous amount where I live, and once the data center is built, I may not receive or struggle with water.

This is not just me, this is multiple people. This is single mothers. This is families of 6. This is someone you’ve met on discord or tumblr or whatnot. This is real life, and this will all circle back and this will be you too.

I cannot stress this enough. While you may not see the faces, while you may not be able to extend empathy, while you may not be able to know what all their names are: do yourself a favor and quit using AI.

Not only this, people, teenagers and alike, have died due to the influences of AI. While I wouldn’t wish to go into detail, I will link sources below onto just why and how AI is harmful, and what it harms.

Not only is C.AI and AI generally messing with your brain and how it functions, it is messing with your future, the way you think; and it’s making you dependent on it. It’s making you dumber, and that is the harsh truth.

So, please: either quit, get help, do your very best to recover, or do not interact with my blog or anyone who reblogs this.

I don’t care what kind of ai you use, I know you have probably seen all of the damages and problems it causes and you still continue to use it. I used to struggle with using the ai character bots because I was very lonely and my mental state was ass. But after seeing the damage of Ai I immediately tried to quit. And after a bit I did. It’s worth giving up something like that if it does more bad than good

As someone who used to use AI (lonely middle schooler), the sheer impact it has on your mental health is a lot more than you expect.

It's extremely addictive, dangerously so. Once you're hooked you'll spend almost all your free time on it.

It "replaces" interpersonal relationships, causing your own relationships to wither away. It was a big contributing factor to my mental health decline.

I thankfully was only addicted for about a year, and maintained my creative & critical thinking skills.
