I just wanna say, telling an intersex trans person that they're "lucky" to have excess testosterone/estrogen because they looked more like the desired gender before a perisex trans person, is a bit weird. That's weird. Just. Don't do that. That's a weird thing to say.

I know most people associate Lace with sheep, and while that works well visually, Lace didn’t seem to be like how sheep are typically portrayed in behavior for me.

So I thought what’s cute, small, clever, fast, fierce, and able to punch above its weight in the animal kingdom?

I thought of mustelids(weasels, badgers, otters and the like), and landed on the Ermine!

If you have any other ideas on what kind of creature you think Lace is like, I would love to hear!
