I'm angry again so here's a receipt of all the stuff rachel has said (that I know of) about shane that genuinely makes it hard for us to defend her saying she actually gives a fuck about shane. and like another poster said, critisising rachel and calling her out on mistreating/not prioritising the main POC character isn't misogyny btw so don't even fucking start on that claim.
especially when she's not accepting her mistakes.
she was given an easy opportunity by the interviewer, to explain herself to the critics. and what did she say? go on a rant about how her poor baby ilya suffered. completely irrelevant to the question. not a word about shane's struggle, which is what the fucking question was about.
a couple more snarky "jokes" about how stupid shane is 😬 which seems more vindictive than lighthearted. "I also wanted shane to tell jj" girl you wrote him. all just jokes though right? we're being too sensitive yes?
I have always said that the part in TLG where Ilya backs shane against the wall was rachel's personal vendetta getting in the way of her writing.
It always bothered me that ilya was getting angry at shane's dieting habits in TLG instead of being concerned and checking on him, which is what he would have done considering that he seemed to love feeding shane. and this one explained it all for me.
shane, the asian, should suck it up and deal with it and stop being dramatic, put his struggles aside, and focus on the white boy who's obviously dealing with so much more, how dare shane complain.
talking about how she regrets making shane autistic bc she cannot deal with the shane questions 💀 and funnily enough she said she's "open to critisism" in the interview (first pic) she clearly hates that we notice how she writes shane and isn't willing to face the questions or critisism. boo fucking hoo.
the worst one being comparing the lengths of the characters on discord, which was completely unnecessary to begin with, but here's the list.
she put two of her POC characters on the last. and ofc the main white boy is on the top 3.
all this and she expects us to believe her bs "I really love shane!!" then show it to us I beg.
