A visit to James Turrell's Roden Crater. Turrell has been building this magnum opus in the desert for more than 50 years and it's still not finished (or open to the public, unfortunately). This is my #1 bucket list item. The way his work thrusts you immediately into experiencing geometry, color, and the cosmos in a uniquely embodied way is just magical. He engineers simple, beautiful, and profound encounters that reveal so much about how we perceive the physical world. "We award the sky its color." Yeah! The enchanted garden salad with vegan chicken and lemon tahini dressing from Ananda Fuara in San Francisco. This place was such a vibe, but sadly they are permanently closed now. This perfect salad will haunt me for the rest of my life.
