one of the more interesting things about the lead up to the first blackfyre rebellion imo is how similar in age the great bastards were with daeron's children. they're recorded as having trained together with baelor and maekar, and i'm very entertained by the thought of them clashing in the yard, especially aegor and maekar who feel tailor made to get on each other's nerves.

i personally imagine daemon and baelor initially being friendly, then things becoming more and more tense as rumours begin to artificially elevate daemon's position over baelor.

at the end of the day it really is like. dunk sees lyonel for the first time and does a double take. lyonel watches him and beckons him over after giving a speech about having gay fun. reveals he’s been watching dunk all night and compares him to a maiden on her wedding night and encourages him to embrace his height rather than diminish it. is so charmed by dunk he forgives his total lack of manners and propriety, asks him to dance and performs a psychosexual ritual where they battle for dominance. dunk steps on his foot and then puts his whole hand on lyonel’s tit to check if he’s alright. is just completely overjoyed when dunk catches on and gives it all he’s got. lyonel lets dunk wear his crown when the music softens and all the couples on the floor are slow dancing. continues to be charmed by dunk’s innocence and strange manners while they have a deep conversation, keeps leaning in to touch him. and that’s just episode one
