so back when I was a teenager, I was always worried my identity wasn’t valid, because one month I was ftm, the next I was non-binary, the next I was a Demiboy, the next I was genderfaun, the next I was agender, and then I was void gender and the list goes on as on.

I feel like when people do that, they think they’re alone. Because everyone who’s shown as queer on the internet from what I’ve seen has a stable identity and label for that identity.

So I just want to put my message out into the world; gender is complicated. It’s ok to shift with your understanding of yourself the more you change. I just want to put this out there for whoever needs to hear it :)

Like, I avoid transfem spaces over this, because yall fucking hurt my community, and I don't want to share a space with people that would do that.

I don't trust people that would stab other members of our community in the back. I can't.

If any transfem transandrophobes read this, you wanna know why transfem spaces are losing members? Look in the mirror, it's because of you, because we won't share space with hate.

Yall hurt our transmasc and nonbinary siblings way more than you hurt me, cause I can go to them to find community, and they can't seem to escape you; but you don't seem to care about that, so here we are. By hurting them, you hurt us too.

It pisses me off, but it's also just fucking humiliating, it's humiliating to see the depths that people just like me fucking sink to. Worse still, I know there was a time in my life where I'd have fallen for it, and I'm so fucking glad yall didn't reach me when I was that person, because it would have genuinely ruined me.

So just think about that, the next time you feel like bashing a transmasc person for no other reason but to take out your petty malice; you're destroying your own community in the process. Hate will eventually eat you alive.

”Transandrophobia isn’t real.” Well, okay. What do you call it when my best friend decided to unfriend me and her parents stopped trusting me not because I was trans, which I know because her other best friend is a trans woman and she and her parents love her a lot, but because I was a man specifically, because that meant I would turn out to be a predator one day? What do you call it when trans men are labeled as aggressive or dangerous because they’re on testosterone, and are thus seen as more manly by society and thus inherently more prone to violence? What do you call it when trans men are pushed out of lgbtq clubs and groups for being men, while other people with different trans identities are allowed to stay because they’re not men, and are thus safer to be around? No, I am not saying androphobia is a systemic issue. No, I am not saying it is nearly as dangerous as misogyny. I know that androphobia is not a systemic issue even close to misogyny. But denying its existence, claiming that the hatred trans men face doesn’t have a single thing to do with them being specifically men, is just wrong. I’ve lived this. Many people have. You need to learn to trust our experiences and listen to our voices. Because I’ve faced hatred for being a man. I’ve had people tell me to my face that they are man haters and hope all men die, including me because I’m a man. Don’t you fucking dare tell me that is not hatred due to being a man. "Nonbinary is not a third gender" for some people it is. "Nonbinary people don't owe you androgyny" but we're allowed to desire it. "Being nonbinary is a rebellion against gender roles" if it is for you, cool. But my gender is not a political movement and not everyone feels comfortable with statements like this.
