Saw a post that said "if you call yourself a misandrist then I know you're weird about trans women who don't pass" and like. Those are women. Like if someone is a piece of shit to non passing trans women that's transphobia. Not some made up oppression for the men. Trans women are women. Stop trying to claim otherwise.
By saying trans women who don't pass are affected by misandry you have become the one being "weird" about trans women who don't pass
“girl dinner” “girl math” “i’m just a girl” okay but I am an adult I am six feet tall I am loud as fuck I take up space I am smart and capable. So are you. Why would we want to laugh at jokes where the punchline is that women aren’t? Why would we want to make jokes about being small and childish and incapable? Who do you think laughs at those jokes the loudest?
imo it’s not that deep, or it wasn’t that deep when these jokes were only between women, particularly friends. if i go to goodwill and spend $50 and say “haha girl math!” to my friend who also spent too much money at goodwill, it’s because i’m filled with the joy of acquired trinkets & excited to take them home with me. it doesn’t mean i don’t understand the value of $50, it doesn’t mean i didn’t have $50 to spend. it has nothing to do with girls = dumb because girls already know they’re not dumb. then men got ahold of it and now i can’t say “haha girl dinner” on a pic of diet coke and weed without some idiot accusing me of bimbofying drug addiction or whatever the fuck because they saw a meme post, assuming i have diet coke and weed for dinner every day, but have no idea i actually had a popeye’s 3-piece w/mac & cheese. and a diet coke.
If you spend too much money shopping and decide to blame that on you being a girl as an adult, own it. That’s what you’re doing. You are the one putting that idea out into the world and normalizing it in your social circle. You know you’re not dumb, but “‘girl math’ is when you spend too much money shopping” is not a statement that anyone can make without misogynistic social consequences. If you wanna die on this hill for your right to make sexist jokes go for it, but you are responsible for those consequences as much as anyone else.
It IS that deep, and you know it’s that deep because when you hear men make those jokes you get the appropriate level of angry. Why do YOU want to make jokes where the punchline is that the only math women can do is be bad at budgeting? What do you get out of that?
if a person refers to themself as a “silly little guy” they are usually filled with a deep evil

got the bus back home today and it was my fav bus driver, he let me on for free. went to tap my card but he just said 'beep!' and was like on you go. lol. then he nearly ran a red light and slammed on the breaks, almost sending the gaggle of older ladies at the front careening to the ground. he had to slam on the breaks and jolt the whole bus a second time later in the route because of a rogue lollypop man who'd come out because of roadworks. one of the old ladies said 'am glad ave nae got any eggs! ha ha!' and everyone on the bus laughed jovially. kind of a sitcomesque bus journey
I feel like a lot of people get "All Art is Political" confused with "All Art is made with Political Intentions" which is not the same.
step one: replace entire personality with open, festering wound
step two: contort absolutely all stimuli in my environment to relate to the my wound in some manner, ideally one which justifies random acts of unbridled aggression and vengeance
step three: marry a girl with generational wealth
I can’t wait for Hillary to pull a BEYONCÉ. No promo, no campaign, no nothing. We will all just be sitting on twitter with our thumbs up our asses when our timeline suddenly starts to fill with the news that Hillary Rodham Clinton is now President Hillary Rodham Clinton. Slayed the game, and we weren’t even readily for it.
day one after changing sheets: ok im gonna kick my bad habits i won't eat in bed or leave knives or scissors or lighters in bed I'll have only normal bed things in my bed and I'll change the sheets more often too
day two after changing sheets: oh yeah this half eaten bundt cake is sleeping with me tonight

as vague and overused as "show dont tell" is, tadc could have seriously benefited from adhering to it more closely. that cartoon holds your hand, looks you in the eyes, and tells you everything about its characters in the most flagrant ways.
anyway i think pride month is a good time to think about how lesbophobia and biphobia faced by women are not actually different types of bigotry in any concrete way, it's all just slightly different manifestations of the overlap between misogyny and homophobia that causes people to treat women like they are not a reliable authority on their own sexuality. its not that one type of queer sexuality is meaningfully more accepted its that asserting your own sexual identity as a woman is pretty much just seen as a threat to general society and will receive whatever pushback is easiest to reach for. unfortunately sometimes as a reaction to this we have a tendency to place the blame on each other for this treatment instead of realizing we're all crabs in the same bucket.
there are essentially zero experiences that a bi woman has had that a lesbian hasn't also, and vice versa. we don't gain anything from acting like we're two distinct groups with any real power imbalance or competing interests between them.
can you let me in pleeeeeaase. i promise i wont use my raptorial limbs to attack and kill you
