however u like! u can go left to right, top to bottom to get a rushing, breathless feel, or you can go top to bottom by choosing a path (like: “as we embrace the future we work to understand the grief we shift into light across our faces”) to capture the full span of everything the poem can say. the value of it comes from what u can find in it !

neat poem. it would make for a good example of uhh using context to determine a poem’s meaning. to understand how to read this poem, the reader can use the context clues of line 3 (”the future  the present  the past”) to realize its a poem that offers a branching path to evoke the flow of time. that way, you can read it using whatever words your eye catches on the way down. the only thing each reader is forced to experience is grief. good poem.

black lesbians honestly deserve so much more. they are constantly an afterthought in the lgbtq community despite having so much history in building it. it really hurts seeing other lgbtq members brush off black lesbians struggles to them “overreacting” or being “too emotional” over being constantly erased from their own community. listen to black lesbians. if a black lesbian tells you that you are making your lgbtq space unsafe or uncomfortable for them then you listen and make changes. it shouldn’t be controversial to say that black lesbians deserve to feel safe and accepted in the lgbtq community.
