Knative Co. Tshirt Design

V is for Vancouver, is a typographic shirt design I did for a new crowd sourced apparel company called Knative Co. Their concept is super cool:

1. Pick a t-shirt design from around the world.

2. Have it printed locally!

They asked me to do a Tshirt design that represents the city I live in. I choose to do an ornate V with the things I love about vancouver detailed in the V. My shirt will launch on December 9th, 2014. You can buy the shirt here: http://signup.knative.co/.

The shirts are only available in one colour. Although I did do a full CMYK version just for kicks :).

Character Development for Byzantium

I have teamed up again with Bevan Thomas for a new graphic novel anthology about Brigada Byzantium, a woman who lives by her own laws. She is always battling against those who wish to suppress free will and independence. A fierce warrior who has an equally passionate lust for danger, adventure, lust, and war.

This anthology depicts the many alternate versions of Brigada, from acid westerns to epic space operas.  I am working on the story "Cosmosis", a space opera. Below are the illustrations for Byzantium's development:

Below: Byzantium as depicted in a battle scene wearing her mech suit, which allows her many capabilities such as fly, manipulate energy to suit her needs, and change her own physical appearance at will.

Bevan is currently pitching this project to various publishers, I really hope it get's picked up! This would be a really fun project to work on :).

Funny how I am still working on these posters! Originally I was commissioned to do a couple, but then every other day the founder was asking me if I would like to another one. So far it's been a pretty fruitful project!

Epic Canadiana Comic Cover Art

So honoured to be asked by Bevan Thomas at Cloudscape Comics to make the cover art for the Epic Canadiana anthology due out this summer.

Had a lot of fun working on this, as I had no idea we had so many Canadian super heros. I was also given the opportunity to use a traditional comic illustration style, which is my favorite!
