He let out a brief laugh as he looked up at her. Childe remained in his relaxed position simply watching.

The red head has no intent to harm her. A promise, once made, will be kept. Besides, what happens to other Harbingers and their troops concerns him not. He is friends with any of them viewing most of them in a negative light. Especially Signora.

“You really don't have anything to worry about.”

"Well then --." She hesitantly rubbed the back of her head. "G-Good! Well, uhm...I'll take my leave then..." She cautiously got up from her seat and started backing away from the red head. Something about this guy wasn't right. He seemed polite enough and even his body language was welcoming for the most part - but something still wasn't clicking properly. Best try and make an escape!

Childe watched her with an amused look. His blue eyes locked on this display. If ordinary people are going to react in this manner, their missions will be much more complicated. Even so, the way he presents himself isn’t just a show. It’s simply who he is, not that he is above using his charm if needed.

He rubbed his brow and released a small sigh.

“Look, I promised not to hurt you and despite what you may have heard about me, I do keep my word.” He replied doing his best to make her feel at ease.

“If you want to leave, Miss. I am not going to stop you.”

Childe leaned up against the building, crossing his arms. Her stubbornness reminded him of Teucer he thought smiling to himself.

“We can talk first, then you can decide if you wanna come down. Fair?”

She eyed him suspiciously but decided to emerge from her position, sitting on the rooftop. It's not like her 'roof inspector' lie worked anyway.

His mouth may be smiling, but his eyes weren't.

"I heard from an old man that the Fatui had some fun in Mondstadt while I was away." She huffed. "Some Siniyora or something. I won't tolerate anymore of you trampling around like you own the place."

She's entirely bluffing. She's noticed how they're occupying the Goth Hotel, the different outposts, and was even told by Dominator of Wolves about the gnosis. She doesn't stand a chance, but if she can dissuade one of the head honchos, it'll be enough!

Childe raises an eyebrow.

"Eep!" She quickly ducked behind a roof to hide herself from the Harbinger's gaze. She's only had to deal with the occasional grunt, but it's easy to say she's no where near strong enough to fight one of the bosses. Best not to try and bring attention to her location...

“You can come down. I promise I'm not going to hurt you.”

Childe laughed at her attempt to hide. He is well aware of his reputation and highly amused with her response.

“I'm not really that bad of a guy.”

She racked her brain before peering over the roof again. "Nothing to see here, Mr. Guy. Just, uhh.....roof inspecting." Would the Fatui even be interested in Illuminated Beasts? She'd rather not find out.

The redhead smiles down at her. She won in their spar and only continued to get stronger. Something he values and respects.
