Sensory issues don't change the fact you have to protect your body from the elements and that you can adapt. Also worth noting that autistics/ADHDers are already at an increased risk of contracting Long Covid because of the way our nervous systems are wired. Researchers are FINALLY connecting the dots between neurodivergence and fibromyalgia, POTS, ME/CFS, and hypermobility spectrum disorders. All of which can be triggered/worsened by Covid.

I've had fibromyalgia since I was a teenager, and I've suspected mild ME for almost as long because of the way it first presented. The POTS is new since 2020 and probably caused up by an asymptomatic Covid infection I picked up from the ER around that time.

If the first mask you try is sensory hell, TRY DIFFERENT MASKS. Headloops are much more comfortable AND effective than ear loops. If an N95 feels scratchy, consider an elastomeric. The part of the Flo mask that touches your face is made out of soft silicone. If heat is the issue, consider pairing your mask with a portable fan. AirFanta even has a wearable air purifier that helps a bit, though probably not as much as a fan because that isn't its primary use.

i think something that isnt talked about enough in modern pokemon game discussions (or maybe i havent looked all that hard) is the death of graphics evolution. like, ive heard the "the newer games look bad" and all that, which i agree with, but what i consider even more important is how up until they swapped to 3d models, every generation had a very distinct Look to them.

Gen 2 introduced more color (than Yellow), gen 3 created more detailed maps and sprites. gen 4 got even more detail and depth to the graphics, and started trying out a bit of pokemon sprite movement at the start of battles. gen 5 (which is the last time i was ever wowed by a pokemon game's look) made pixel art 3d, and implemented fully animated sprites in battle! and then they went 3d models for the 3ds in gen 6, and while 6 looks different from 10, obviously, we are losing the obvious graphic changes. gen 6 and 7 look unique enough, even if i personally dislike the style shift, but 8 and 9? that is the same game. you cant convince me these are different games made for different consols.

id rather they go all the way back to gen 5 style if theyre gonna stick with one graphics style from now on. id love to open a pokemon game for the first time and be genuinely blown away with how beautiful it looks. but that's not gonna happen anymore and ill just have to keep playing gen 5 over and over to get that dopamine from crossing a damn bridge. but whatever. its not like they expect us to pay double the price for worse product, right? oh wait.

One of my favourite bits in fma is how during the final arc they bring up why attempting human stransmutation is forbidden, as the readers we've seen what happens when an attempt fails with Ed and Al, so of course the logical explanation is that "it's too dangerous to attempt", or even "it goes against the natural way the world works, it's monstruous in nature and impossible".

But then Arakawa in her infinite wisdom as a writer goes, lol no, the goverment has been making flesh monsters with human transmutations in secret for years, they forbid it so that nobody can't even come close to attempting to create a personal army that cannot feel pain

Thinking back to the first story I ever started writing down (I was 7 or 8) about a group of stray cats who, every full moon, took the form of human kids. They actually were human kids, who had been killed (all at different times/by different people). Their bodies were each dumped by the side of the road where a cat had been hit by a car previously, and their souls landed in the cats' bodies. Eventually they all found each other and decided that every full moon, when they shifted, they'd try to solve each other's murders one by one. It was going to be a series, with each book focusing on a different kid's murder mystery. I told my mom about it once, briefly, and she said "Those cat books (warrior cats) are making you creepy."
