Sometimes you get fond of a 50 year-old manga about two boys in love
happy gay month
âwhy are you like thatâ because im full of love and whimsy and childlike wonder
think about this every time i watch videos about youtuber drama
Read right to left.
I can't sleep, so I curse them no sleep đ€
Part 1 <- Part 2 -> Part 3
funny thing about anxiety is sometimes it kind of breaks your sense of danger. like i am known for repeatedly putting myself in situations that make my friends go "bro you couldve died. werent you scared?" and the answer is đ yjeah. i did it scared. i do everything scared. i didnt know that was the actual important kind of scary because i usually have to ignore my fears to function in society. it will happen again. watch out.
Happy summer.
Absolutely lovely!! đđđ
Incredibly violent take of mine but I actually donât think you need to relate to a story in any way to enjoy it. You can enjoy a story even if you canât point at a character and insert some aspect of your personality or identity into them. In fact I would argue the need for a character like that to be present in every single story you experience is a sign of stunted growth.
It is a peaceful and serene take, actually.
The Fiona Paradox
Having read this far into the Spy x Family manga, I'm starting to think that maybe Fiona doesn't really want to be with Twilight? Or maybe she likes the yearning of wanting to be with Twilight, but any time she gets close to the reality of it happening, she goes into Internal Panic Modeâą, as evidenced by these scenes:
This makes me think that she's in love with the idea of being with Twilight, but has a meltdown every time it comes close to the real thing.
I also find it ironic that even though Fiona knows about the spy identity behind the Loid Forger persona, she has never been able to access the deeper parts of him, namely [Redacted].
While Fiona was trained under Twilight and has also seen several of his other personas, she places him on so high of a pedestal that she doesn't know much of the "real" him at all. Her "romantic feelings" are more like blind worship than true affection.
Meanwhile, Fiona has witnessed Twilight showing real emotion in playing the role of Loid Forger the Family Manâą, something she has never seen in him before:
Moreover, even though Fiona has never seen any part of [Redacted], Yor has. The one time we see Twilight/Loid sharing a part of his past as [Redacted] was to Yor after their disastrous date. It was there, in a moment of vulnerability, that he related this about his mother.
More importantly, he did it not as a honeytrap ploy or spy tactic, but as a genuine, honest moment of opening up. This memory might have been something that he had repressed for years (if not decades), and instead of making up something related to "Loid Forger", [Redacted] shared a part of his true self.
And think about it: he did this without hesitation. No timer running in his head, no calculations, no cost-benefits analysis. None of that overthinking he does as a spy. Just sharing a tender, heartfelt memory that has stayed with him to this day.
This is something that Fiona has never witnessed, and I think it says a lot that Twilight opened up like this to his "fake-wife-needed-for-a-mission" (and one who had just kicked him in the face, no less) rather than a fellow WISE agent who arguably knows more of the "real" him than Yor does. Then again, I might be wrong. Fiona might just to want something so badly for so long that the possibility of it coming true is too much for her heart to handle. I mean, I myself have felt this way before (and probably other people have felt this as well) so it's not too much of a stretch to imagine this for a fictional character. But I guess my main point is that Fiona still holds Twilight to such a high standard that she fails to see the real him. If she were to see the "real" him, would she still feel the same way? Or would it even be possible for her to see the real man behind Twilight? Or will her delusional fantasies still rationalize everything he does as being "perfect" and make her "love" him all the more for his imperfections?
Just a thought.
A belated little fat Pock Friday
Sorry for not uploading in a while
there are corners of this website where the year is still 2013. and sometimes, on beautiful nights when the veil is thin, you can find them . if you know where to look
Yaâll might wanna grow some hyperaccumulators (such as sunflowers, oyster mushrooms, mustard greens, vetiver, etc) around your house and/or in your garden for a few years before you plant leafy vegetables so you donât end up consuming heavy metals.
If youâre uncertain, most state universities have soil testing labs that offer cheap, easily understood soil tests that can tell you for sure whether youâve got lead, arsenic, etc. in your soils.
searching for âuniversity extension soil test [your state]â will probably turn up helpful info!
This is a good thing to note, (also sunflowers are very pretty and easy to grow when youâre first learnign how to garden) but also searching â(nearest university) Extensionâ and â(your county) Extensionâ is GREAT because thereâs ALL KINDS of cool services out there if you want to get into growing your own food or helping the local enviornment or installing solar panels on your house or buying livestock or- Thereâs a lot, itâs AWESOME, itâs usually stunningly low-cost and itâs veyr, very solarpunk so I encourage all of you to take a gander at the programs offered.
The Cooperative Extension System is run in each state by the stateâs land grant university/ies (which might not be the ones you think, in NY itâs Cornell rather than any of the SUNYs): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cooperative_State_Research,_Education,_and_Extension_Service#Cooperative_Extension_System Itâs also where all 4H programs are based!
Some also offer classes! Theyâre taxpayer funded, so that means the wealthy ones can offer tons of resources. If you canât find much going on in your state, nearby states may also have excellent info that can apply to your area. Some of the famous heavyweights are Cornell / New York and UC Davis / California, tons of research, plant breeding programs, and all around useful info coming outta those places.
As a botanist Iâm contractually obligated to add this any time I see posts about phytoremediationâif you do this you CANNOT let the sunflowers/msuhrooms/etc decompose back into your garden. You cannot add them to your compost pile. That just puts the heavy metals right back into your soil!!!! You need to bag them up and dispose of them elsewhereâtraditional landfill waste is probably going to be easiest for most people.
These plants ACCUMULATE metals. They do NOT break them down. Youâre pulling them up from the ground and storing them in the plant tissue, so, donât consume or compost that tissue afterwards.Â
