Question! Do you see kissing as romantic or sexual? Cause I'm not sure where to put it myself
Me neither not gonna lie. I kiss my queerplatonic partner from time to time including on the mouth (no tongue but that's a personal preference matter I guess?), and obviously I don't define it as romantic in this case. I also kinda try not to do it in front of people quite as much because privacy is a thing, for one thing, but also, it seems to be commonly very romantically-coded (and that's an understatement) so I don't want people to get the wrong idea. They do that enough as it is anyway.
I guess it's like... It's kinda like a lot of things, it's only romantic or sexual as long as one of the parties involved IS making it romantic or sexual in terms of feeling or intent. Same with dynamics between people, same with other gestures or habits. And being on the same page is the most important. I know that when we kiss with my partner they don't see it as romantic, and that makes me feel safe. I could never do it otherwise.
I can definitely get how that can be confusing from an outside point of view tho haha 🙈 But ye, I hope that makes sense still somewhat!
