Yes, I know this is a film and many things had to be simplified to make everything fit the run time but… Just hear me out, ok?
From a cynical, evolutionary point it wouldn't makes any sense to have individuals of a species think, act and react in a similar way to external stimuli. It would make them vulnerable to extinction since a species evolves by learning from its surroundings and finding creative and innovative solutions to survive adversity adapting.
Cybertronians are by design a highly adaptable species, considering how they can literally shapeshift and mimic other species' vehicles.
So I can’t believe that the original Cybertronian had the same copypasted personality and all acted like Alpha Trion
The second, most obvious thing that comes to my mind, is that the Primes are thirteenplets. (that's a word now)
So I can't believe that they would just agree with each other on everything.
What I can agree on is that they definitely spent too much time bickering, cheerfully arguing and lovely testing each other's patience because that’s what sibling do.
My personal headcanon is that Primus based each of his creations on himself, counting on the fact that “each aspect of his being” could work together to achieve a common goal.
Alpha Trion obviously has Primus' wisdom, his ability to approach situations with reasonableness and prudence, to recognize good and evil, and to act with balance and moderation.
Prima holds all of Primus' hope for the future. He is the keeper of his fathers desires to make things work and he's the glue that keeps the Primes together, remembering to them their original purpose.
Solus has her father's will to create, her imagination is unlimitless and her abilities are not limited only to the forge. She is by all means an artist, a sculptor, an engineer and a builder.
Micronus is the smallest Prime, but his size is merely a mean of containing his powerful determination. There's nothing that can stop him when he puts something in his helm!
Onyx wings dream of freedom, to explore and see things never saw by another being before.
Quintus and Alchemist mirror each other as curiosity and logic. They fight all the time to determine which is better between bioengineering and metallurgic chemistry.
An important note to be made is that i don’t think that the Primes should be strictly defined by their inherited personality aspect.
For example, Megatronus is obviously the protector. He is the High Guard Commander, a formidable warrior, the strongest of the Primes and he also draws quite nicely!
So good, in fact, that Solus used some of his drawings into her designs!
When it comes to asking for advice, surprisingly, the to go choice is Amalgamous.
Alpha Trion tends to give long and complex speeches about morality and choice, trying to make his brothers and sister reflect on their problems so that they can ultimately resolve them on their own.
While the patient Amalgamous simply listens and, like an ATLA earthbender, he waits until the right moment comes to strike, both in battle and in a discussion. His advices are short and simple and, even if they are less complete and less wise, sometimes that's what his brothers and sister actually need.
