The concept of Barry realizing Eobard not only orchestrated and let terrible things happen to him but that Eobard also prevented terrible things from happening to him (i.e., anything that would have killed Barry before he could be struck by lightning, and, for example, killing Simon Stagg to keep him away from The Flash).
