Things may seem a bit slow and gloomy but there is progress everyday. Don't lose hope, but also keep within reason!
We still don't know what is going on behind the scenes and despite all the good graces and benefits of doubt given by loyal players, Infold still seems to surprise us at every turn.
Things are not so black and white, they can't just "Bring Back Valko" as easy as it would be to just release him, the player base is in a state of discourse and everything is being distorted and blown out of proportion. They are reaping the sows of their reputation they had built throughout the years both with LADS and their other games.
Right now we are in the "Boomerang Effect" of the Boycott, which typically happens around the 4-6 week period of boycotts when they start dying down. For more information and hopium I suggest watching Love and Chickspace's videos, they go into detail on how game developers work behind the scenes and give a better look at how the situation might be playing out.
IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO LOSE TRACK OF WHY WE ARE BOYCOTTING IN THE FIRST PLACE. GachaGoblin's recent video also goes over a tweet about the situation and it really does go over a lot of little details that are swept under all the chaos.

I would be lying if I were to say I wasn't angered and disappointed by their seemingly idiotic decisions that keep piling up. I really hoped that they would at least address the situation before continuing on something like "we hear you, please wait." But that was best case scenario and this is Infold's MO. Silence.
I don't think they were expecting us to move on. As given by the fact they barely announced anything for Zayne and anything we did find out was through customer service VIP text screenshots. Anything Infold says will be scrutinized be it good or bad. They know what the majority wants, they know what will bring them money, and if the developers' texts at the beginning of the boycott are any indication, they want Valko to be released too. Too much has been put into him to just be deleted, which is why his files are still in the game.
But Infold is waiting for something.
It's not the government as many had speculated. EOS was a real fear when all the articles and the government were villanizing everything related to the game. After that was cleared up, we all thought that it was a clear sign that they could release Valko. There is no other reason for EOS unless Infold themselves decide to pull the plug or EXPONENTIALLY MASSIVE PERCENTAGE ((I'm talking Armageddon type of numbers)) of people to just STOP PLAYING ALL TOGETHER.
So why haven't they released Valko? Others speculated because of lawsuits. Which would make sense. We have been seeing them work behind the scenes to take down articles, restore posts, and get to the bottom of WHY the controversy exploded the way it did. The children have been banned from the game and the malicious user has been identified. Although still at large and now apparently building her new army for the upcoming myth. Infold isn't moving on, but they are hoping we do. It seems like they have chosen to wait ((wait for what in specific? Only they truly know.)). Their MO suggests that they are waiting for the "girlcott" to die down, for people to calm down, and get back to it as regularly scheduled. They released Caleb's card without addressing the situation which is really infuriating but again, anything they say or do can be twisted in the worst ways they couldn't even imagine.
Ie. Boil in the pot fiasco.
So unless they are going to have a solid solution about Valko, they are going to wait and not say anything.
But the world keeps spinning, the company still needs to make money. Although many don't agree with this decision, can you say you can agree with any of the other decisions that landed us here?
And although sad, the buzz is dying down and people are getting tired of waiting. But it is at this time that we CANNOT afford to give up. The US and China are still going strong in the boycott, but some other countries like Korea seem to be neutral. A lot of the comments on YouTube in Korea don't seem to care much for Valko which would explain why the revenue is not completely gone. It is still a battle to stand our ground for our value as consumers and the integrity of the creative team and everyone else that is affected by the causes of the boycott. The message has been sent with the revenue and rating drop. Like the videos above said, it is now just a matter of waiting and keeping Valko alive with love not hate. The world will keep spinning but we won't stop until Valko is released.
Caleb's card did not come out of nowhere. They were rerunning the boys' workout cards, Rafayel's Private Trip being the last one. We were supposed to get Valko right after then Zayne's GOA rerun and then Raf's myth on August 9th. Then there was going to be a supposed "Fairytale Multi banner" that was floating around set to released August ((WITH VALKO MIND YOU. IM DYING)) Then Sylus' Long Awaited Revelry rerun followed by Zayne's birthday new and rerun. THEN WE WERE SUPPOSED TO GET CALEB'S CARD IN THE BEGINNING OF SEPTEMBER BEFORE HAVING A MISTY INVASION RERUN.
On June 21st GachaGoblin went over a speculated schedule both with and without the 6th LI. (Remember Valko was introduced on June 22nd. Literally before all this shitshow hit the fan. You can even see that Wandering in Wonder was scheduled to rerun around December)
It was clear to everyone that the card was rushed out. Especially after Infold's big whoopsie with the pose mix up. Not to mention that it was polished with AI.
((if you refer to Gacha Golbin's video, she does touch on the idea that Infold changing Caleb's jersey was to protect Valko. Had they released him with a Big Ol' 5 it could be taken as them taking a stance that Valko was cancelled and LADS is only 5 now. After hearing that very real possibility, it doesn't bother me as much as it initially did because it was done for a good reason. That is not to say that there's not a possibility that they are still changing lore. I'll just take it as them visiting and Caleb's old jersey obviously didn't fit because he grew out of it so this was the next best thing.))
The schedule is fucked and right now Infold is scrambling to fix everything. Like Gacha Goblin said, "They're paving the way for Valko."
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Infold is cooking, we just have to be patient.
My hope was that they would release him this early August ((especially since this month has a SOLAR ECLIPSE!)) as Zayne's birthday is coming up in September, then Xavier's in October. They can't have the love interests' birthdays be too close to each other. If the rumors were true about Valko's birthday being set to when he meets us for the first time. But then they released Caleb's card. They can't just release Valko on August 17th/18th ((following the pattern of Caleb's card ending on the 14th and waiting 2-3 days before the next banner)), have the banner end at the end of August and start September with Zayne's birthday.
Out of all the LI's Zayne's girlies have been hit the hardest. First the GOA rerun happened right when the boycott started, then his 10 days with you Card was released and not announced, AND THEN they get fucked over for his birthday??? Can you IMAGINE the backlash????? THEN we have Xavier's birthday in October and idk if y'all know how bad the backlash with him can get but it's pretty fucking bad and that's already without the pressure of the boycott.
They just couldn't. As much as we all want Valko out ASAP. Infold now has to calculate their EVERY move.
So where does that leave us?
Unless we get another official letter from Infold addressing the situation, which again, unless it's an official date to release Valko ((and hopefully an apology and promises of doing better but do those really mean anything at this point? Unless they show their retribution through actions, they have already lost the trust of so many players.)) All we can expect from Infold is silence on the topic and them trying to keep the game moving forward.
Unless they are waiting for something in specific to happen.
Valko IS coming out. Not a matter of IF but a matter of WHEN.
I'm already buckling up for November or December. Can I be Thankful for Valko coming home? Or possible Valko Christmas gift?
Coders have found Valko's files locked away in the game, his WU story and text messages are still there, and the official Instagram still has his face on the 6.0 post. As long as those remain AND we DON'T hear of a mass quitting/firing at Infold, then there is still hope.
So grab your needles and start weaving because we are Penelope waiting for her husband to come home. ((Obviously The Epic the musical not the movie version)) No matter how long it takes, don't lose hope, don't stop fighting, and never forget him.
