Character Designs (#4.0 possibly)
I’d wanted to do some research into the wives/partners of the Colonial Templars, because it felt a bit lonely to me that it was just Molly Brant and Kaniehtí. This is for my Wild West/RDR2 AU.
So I ended up finding the other four women, and I’m going to describe all of them... well, all six of them. (To be fair, I had to use quite a bit of AI during the research because I couldn’t find much information, so feel free to correct me if I got anything wrong.)
Sarah Howard: Christopher Gist’s wife. Based on the real-life information about this character, she’s a gunslinger wanted across the United States. She’s American and, much like Christopher Gist himself, an explorer. They probably met through that.
Sarah Miller: Benjamin Church’s wife. I’m honestly surprised that this traitorous son of a bitch even had a wife.
Their relationship ended after ten years, and they probably never had children (at least in this AU — I’m not sure about real life). After Benjamin betrayed the gang, Sarah was so devastated and disappointed that she eventually took her own life. She’s of British origin.
Elizabeth Dalrymple: John Pitcairn’s wife. She’s a rather bossy Scottish woman, just like John, and she’s always the one making sure the other girls don’t get up to any nonsense. She’s strict, yes... and she had nine bloody children with John. Good lord... that poor woman.
Molly Brant: My Shayla, William Johnson’s wife, and the gang’s main connection to the Indigenous peoples, especially the Mohawk. She maintains a small alliance between the gang and the Mohawk people (though that’ll probably fall apart once Connor Kenway comes along).
She belongs to the Wolf Clan, or perhaps the Turtle Clan, though in this AU she’s from the Wolf Clan, as shown by the design on her necklace. She was actually my favourite design of the bunch :3 I genuinely love how she turned out.
Charles Lee’s wife: Honestly... I’m surprised this man had a wife at all, a Mohawk one. Yep, he did in real life, and they even had twins. That genuinely shocked me.
Anyway, here’s a design for her. Since there isn’t much information about her, I decided she belongs to the Turtle Clan. She’s very calm and gentle... how on earth did she end up married to that bastard Charles Lee? This man isn’t even attractive.
Kaniehtí:io Anowà:ra : The origin of “Anowà:ra” is that it would be her surname, and it means “turtle” in Mohawk — or at least I hope it does. Since she belongs to the Turtle Clan, I thought it would be nice for her to have her own surname instead of Kenway, so I chose that name in honour of her clan.
She’s also a wanted gunslinger... mostly because she got involved in an ambush against President Washington (or maybe a mayor... I’m not sure).
