A couple years ago the “bury your gays” trope pissed me off so bad I wrote a “resurrect your gays” revenge novel… and it comes out in TWO MONTHS.

What I am is the Indian who can't die. I'm the worst dream America ever had.
your local anxious president and the overqualified usps guy
After losing everything in service to the Evil Queen, and driven to the edge of sanity by a narrator who won’t let him die, Hansel must bring himself to do the impossible: forge his own destiny, or give up on his Happily Ever After.

still not convinced? here's one last review excerpt:
On March 31, Hedone Books -- the publisher of How to Survive This Fairytale -- will be closing.
After March 31, How to Survive This Fairytale will not be available for purchase.
I was taken entirely by surprise last week when I received an email announcing that Hedone Books would be closing on March 31. This email arrived without any prior mention, hint, or even the vaguest indication (to me) that the press would be shuttering. In December, I’d asked if it would be possible to publish the Fairytale sequel in 2027 if I turned in the first draft by March/April, and the answer was yes. As far as I knew, things were good. Clearly, things changed.
This has been a gut punch for me. How to Survive This Fairytale was published last January, just days before my mother’s sudden, tragic (!deeply traumatizing!) death. One of the biggest bright spots in the past year has been seeing how much readers LOVE this book. This is a book about queer healing, queer triumph, queer love, and about having enough faith in yourself to change your story. It means the world to me that people love it as much as they do.
I am so sorry that it won’t be available after March 31.
That being said, I hope it won’t be unavailable forever. My agent & I are going to try to rehome it. This book is special: before it had been in the world a month, the team at Rainbow Crate approached me about a special edition. It's a finalist in *seven!* categories for the Indie Ink Awards.
If you haven’t read How to Survive This Fairytale and you want to—or, if you’re one of the readers who loves this book—you should still be able to purchase it wherever books are sold through March 31. However, the Hedone Books website (where they sold ebooks) is gone, and so is all their social media, so I can't say when exactly they will remove the book from KDP, Ingram, etc.
If you're going to purchase the book, I would recommend doing that sooner rather than later.
ive had this idea even before drawing my first BP fanart but it took all that i drew before this to actually go for it lol

“Armageddon was a fire in the harbor, a box delivered on a cold day. It wasn't one great tragedy, but ten million tiny ones, and everyone faced theirs alone.”
big fan of romance horror. big fan of terrible people still being loved. big fan of bending morality and turning the grotesque into something beautiful.
