Kip did not endear himself to me in the book. He is self-conscious about living with his parents at 25 and working in a smoothie shop, but only applies to one job at the urging of a friend. He is very stagnant until the end where he finally applies to grad school. He encourages Scott to come out with very little understanding of what it would actually be like for him.

Kip is not comfortable with Scott spending any money on him all the way through the epilogue. I'm sure that won't cause any issues.

This is both Scott and Kip's first serious relationship.

Six months! That is all this book covers.

I know the Skip divorce discussion bugged a lot of people, but I can see it for book!Skip. Not saying they definitely would, but if you made me pick a couple out of the books I have read so far...it is gonna be Skip.

I love Carter. Him thinking Kip's name is cute, I loved it.

Scott coming out by kissing Kip after winning the Stanley cup when he has only told three teammates and his coach, that's one way to do it. Hard launch at the biggest moment of your career, but at least there will enough media attention that it should force the league to play nice.

You can tell Heated Rivalry was not planned out. No mention of Shane and Scott being the league's biggest star.
