Why are some Avatar viewers obsessed with the need to identify with soldiers working for a corporation that exploits natural resources?!

There's literally the scientific branch and the other Avatars right there! If you're so desperate to identify with people.

Then no, the kind of humans the RDA represents don't deserve a second chance. And I think it's very naive to think they actually care about humanity (probably just 1% of humans). They discover a way to breathe on Pandora, and the first thing they think is that it's going to win them a war (consider living together? What's that all about?).

Also, the humans in this saga are literally the Martians of The War of the Worlds (H. G. Wells). They destroyed their own planet and believe they have the right to appropriate another. The situation is simply reversed in Avatar.

Listen, I saw the films when I was about 7 and read The Silmarillion in middle school around 12 or 13. And I think there are several stages of realization that one goes through.

Wow, the elves are so beautiful, the landscapes magnificent, and everyone so noble and kind. I hope evil never strikes them again.

Uhhh, okay, the elves seemed a bit... angry in the First Age? WTF?! Fëanor NO!!!

Okay, the elves had their teenage angst phase, but what about Men? They're reliable! Look at Aragorn and Faramir. Wait... wait, what's this business about a temple to Satan? Númenor, nooo! Good grief, don't tell me that's why all of Gondor's neighbors are angry with them?!

Avatar Headcanon

Neteyam can't hiss because he inherited human teeth. I like the idea that, unlike Lo'ak, whose human heritage is very visible outwardly, Neteyam's is much less visible and far more internal. We can also see this as a parallel in their personalities: Lo'ak is often compared to Jack, but he possesses a sensitivity I associate more with Neytiri, while Neteyam, despite his Na'vi-like appearance from his mother, seems to be emotionally tougher, like Jake.

Rewatch The Incredibles

A few days ago, I decided to revisit the first Incredibles movie. And this time, it was definitely to delve into the deep lore of this universe. I was surprised to see so many fans of "The Incredibles." It reminds me a bit of the Marauder fandom, where fans take tiny details and decide to build an entire lore around them. I really like most of the headcanon.

I understand the fascination with the character of Gamma Jack. And I think it's more about his power than his character flaws. I mean, it's clear that the heroes in this world are largely imperfect. And the power of radiation? It literally ignites the imagination.

And Neytiri sees this and thinks her husband must look a little less good looking because she's tired of giving everyone dirty looks.

When I say adaptation, I mean a change that is sometimes so significant that the character bears no resemblance to the one in the original media. Or, I mean very subtle changes that can alter the interpretation of certain elements related to that character.

For me, it's these four.

Okay, one of my headcanons is that Reno becomes 200% serious when Tseng is in a state where he can't cope anymore. Typically, when he's injured or vulnerable. The first time this personality shift occurs, it's unsettling for everyone.

This goes with the idea that Reno is Tseng's right-hand man, obviously.
