Of course there's a Bo Burnham video which is a prime example of, in my experience, what it's like to overthink.... Here's a comment from the video that I liked that also explained the video pretty well: "It's insane how he takes such seemingly silly, surface-level cinematographic ideas and manages to see what they're able to perfectly represent. You wouldn't think this could go beyond a kind of experiment in how long you can troll your audience or take the recording software with frame-in-frames, but instead he uses it as a perfect visual analogy for overthinking and anxiety; he makes a thing, he talks about it, he critiques that talking, he critiques his critique, and so on until the original project is almost entirely blocked out by his own thoughts, where he loses sight of the original vision and can only think about how much he hates listening to himself overthinking. This masterfulness pervades his style; almost every metaphor he makes is near perfect in communicating/evoking its message/effect, the flow of his lyrics always draws the listener in and further communicates his message... where did this genius come from?"

When Brazilian graphic designer Carol Rossetti began posting colorful illustrations of women and their stories to Facebook, she had no idea how popular they would become.Â
Thousands of shares throughout the world later, the appeal of Rosettiâs work is clear. Much like the street art phenomenon Stop Telling Women To Smile, Rossettiâs empowering images are the kind you want to post on every street corner, as both a reminder and affirmation of womenâs bodily autonomy.Â
âIt has always bothered me, the worldâs attempts to control womenâs bodies, behavior and identities,â Rossetti told Mic via email. âItâs a kind of oppression so deeply entangled in our culture that most people donât even see itâs there, and how cruel it can be.â
Rossettiâs illustrations touch upon an impressive range of intersectional topics, including LGBTQ identity, body image, ageism, racism, sexism and ableism. Some characters are based on the experiences of friends or her own life, while others draw inspiration from the stories many women have shared across the Internet.Â
âI see those situations I portray every day,â she wrote. âI lived some of them myself.â
Despite quickly garnering thousands of enthusiastic comments and shares on Facebook, the project started as something personal â so personal, in fact, that Rossetti is still figuring out what to call it. For now, the images reside in albums simply titled âWOMEN in english!â or âMujeres en espaĂąol!â which is fitting: Rossettiâs illustrations encompass a vast set of experiences that together create a powerful picture of both womenâs identity and oppression.
One of the most interesting aspects of the project is the way it has struck such a global chord. Rossetti originally wrote the text of the illustrations in Portuguese, and then worked with an Australian woman to translate them to English. A group of Israeli feminists also took it upon themselves to create versions of the illustrations in Hebrew. Now, more people have reached out to Rossetti through Facebook and offered to translate her work into even more languages. Next on the docket? Spanish, Russian, German and Lithuanian.
Itâs an inspiring show of global solidarity, but the message of Rossettiâs art is clear in any language. Above all, her images celebrate being true to oneself, respecting others and questioning what society tells us is acceptable or beautiful.
âI canât change the world by myself,â Rossetti said. âBut Iâd love to know that my work made people review their privileges and be more open to understanding and respecting one another.ââ

My favorite thing about this is how thereâs diversity in the women even when it isnât relevant. There are more fat women than just the illustrations regarding body image. There are multiple women in wheelchairs even when the text isnât focusing on it. there are so many different races and ethnicity even when thatâs not what the words are focusing on. One of them doesnât have a left arm and it isnât the focus. Itâs beautiful, showing the overlap between all these things.

Told myself that I'm proud of me last night and I almost shed a single tear-
My analysis of ep1 of TADC
As I have stated previously, I'll be analyzing anything I find interesting in the show. Sadly the first episode was (of course) the introduction, so nothing really interesting happened yet. (Though I have a feeling the later episodes will be filled to the brim with things to analyze XD ) Now I still managed to find three noteworthy things in this episode, mostly being thought experiments (actually pretty boring if you ask me). So first I personally wondered what I would do if I was suddenly put in the circus. I don't think I would really care that much, and thus I would also not freak out as much. Then there is the moral dilemma of if you'd try to find the exit like Pomni tried to do. And maybe in general what kinds of things you'd do for selfish reasons. Now lastly I'll note that I'll be taking on Kaufmo's abstraction later (episode 9 probably), cause I can't think of anything interesting to say yet. Though I did notice that the bowling ball, taken by Jax from Kaufmo's room, might actually be a metaphor: Think of it this way, Jax opens the door, he see Kaufmo, then he takes the bowling ball with him.... but what else does he take with him? The guilt that he feels over the abstraction. He takes the guilt to the mirror, and the bowling ball seems the heaviest in his hands when his feelings are the heaviest. Then he buries the feelings, and passes the ball onto Kinger and Gangle, who, and this may be a stretch, but they then TURN INTO a bowling ball. I don't know what that may imply, but it does seem cool. Anyways episode 1 was kinda boring, sorry for wasting your time!
